Our Wedding

Danielle and I met in the Fall of 2018 while both working at Regeneron in their manufacturing department. I had switched from 3rd shift to 2nd shift and Danielle and I started to build a connection, charming her with my wits. In March of 2019 we went on a group ski trip with our friends and that’s when we really hit it off with each other. By April we started officially dating, spending evenings watching standup comedy and eating mozzarella sticks at her apartment. The relationship sped up quickly from there, with Danielle looking to buy a house and her lease ending, she moved into my small apartment just 4 months after we started dating, bringing with her, her two Maine Coon cats, Kilo and Carinthia, we lived a cramped lifestyle for the next 6 months. In those 6 months, our lives started to merge, we played flag football together, her friends became mine and vice versa.Finally, by Feb 2020 we were able to get out of our apartment, Danielle closed on our current house and we couldn’t wait for the next step in life. Our new house had more space for the cats, our belongings and space for her to get some peace and quiet away from me. Shortly after moving in, the pandemic hit and the world paused, but our relationship didn’t. With quarantines in place, we grew our love for games, playing the time-appropriate Pandemic Legacy board game which sparked our love for co-op games together. We also enjoyed our time together in the kitchen, Danielle in charge of the prep work while I focused on the cooking. It wasn’t all easy, we had ups and downs, like enjoying 8 hour marathon board game days or when we built the patio during the hottest weekend of the summer, but we learned and grew together.Post-Pandemic life has treated us well. We both left the manufacturing department at Regeneron but both still work there, a healthy move for our relationship. We got a 3rd cat in 2023, Iverson, and have really focused on the things we enjoy in life. We spend most of our free time in the kitchen working on our culinary skills, hanging with our friends and/or cats, reading, or playing games. On December 26th 2023, while up in Lake Placid with family for the Holidays, I proposed, surprising Danielle by having our friends drive up for the occasion. While we are still working on perfecting adult life, we are happy and the best part, we are always learning and growing together. Below are some photos of our journey.

Olivia and I grew up together, our friendship starting from before I can remember. She has been my rock through all the chapters in my life. We grew up boating on the Saranac Lake, cliff jumping every chance we got and celebrated the end of our high school years crowd surfing at the Bamboozle Music Festivals. Olivia introduced me to two major loves, volleyball and six flags. She also taught me how to navigate Disney like a pro and we can snake through crowds like no other! We accept every part of each other and often believe our minds our linked.

Liz and I were accidental college roommates during freshmen orientation weekend at RPI in 2016. Admin had mixed up the room assignments with another Danielle B, and the rest is history. When school started and Liz’s assigned roommate was a no-show, I moved right in. We became official sisters together in the spring, joining Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority to fend off the 7-3 guy-girl ratio. I wouldn’t have made it through school without her! She is now living in Colorado with her husband, Chris, and their cute little baby, Theo Sage.

Liz Castro

Nina and I met on the train bus growing up. I will never forget seeing her and her siblings running down the long driveway to make almost every day. Nina was always full of curiosity and fearless adventuring, so much so that you never made any plans because Nina had a better idea. She filled our lives with zip lining, camping, hiking, and most importantly- ghost hunting. She may have wound up in a trout pond with my mom’s video camera after one of those hunts (a ghost pushed her). Nina left us after sophomore year in high school to chase her ski jumping dreams, moving to a foreign country to continue her education and training there. Fearless right? Now she lives in Switzerland working as a global marketer for On with her husband Logan, who I promised to kill if he ever hurt her.

My girl Marta. We met in 2021 and were fast friends. Marta is a strong woman who loves fiercely, and who I love fiercely. Clayton, Marta, her husband, Chris Spinelli, and I bonded as a foursome over analyzing the social behavior behind contestants on The Bachelor and drinking copious amounts of wine together. Marta and I would also take that time to complain about our beloved partners. Marta just graduated with a Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia, an advanced degree to administer anesthesia. I’m so proud of her perseverance, determination and in awe of her intelligence!

Paige Jones! She is sunshine in a bottle and an absolute gem. Paige and I first met through work, and the stars aligned when we got to be co-leads in the same area 5 years later. Paige is a big Texas girl who taught me the joy of the two-stepping in cowboy boots. We are moms of Siamese boy cats and enjoy good food with tea!

After growing up with 2 older brothers, I finally have a sister (in-law)! Clayton and I, with my brother Chris and Nickie, love board game brunches and sharing books. She helped me fall in love with books again after a long hiatus. Nickie is full of color, love, and adventure. She reminds me how to embrace life and all it can give.

Meet my best man, my brother Arthur. Growing up together we had times of hatred and times of love, but even in times of hatred, it was love. Arthur always looked after me, ‘No one messes with my brother but me!’ was the style he went with. While we currently live far apart, we always have a blast when we get back together, whether it be reminiscing on some of the hilarious memories or creating new ones.

Kyle, the oldest brother, is a large reason I love food and cooking, the best chef I know. If I had to pick one person to cook something amazing, it would be Kyle (sorry Sherry). Add his cooking skills, with a love of cooking for others, a great taste in music, and an unparalleled ability to bring the energy and you have a recipe for some of the best dinner parties.

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan. I took away his title as the youngest, which gave him the platform to pick on the youngest. Ryan and Art had some fun, whether that be locking me in our shed, in a closet, wherever. Don’t even ask me about his airsoft guns…. But Ryan brought that fun, slightly reckless energy. Ryan taught me to push the boundaries, toe the line and enjoy life, sometimes regardless of the consequences.

Matt is my brother-in-law and while we haven’t had the most opportunities in life to bond, we have enjoyed the time together when we have. From golfing at his bachelor party, to hanging during the holidays, Matt is one of the easiest people to talk to. If you bump into him at the wedding, open a beer and get ready for a great conversation.

Chris and I met at Regeneron in late 2016. If I could sum up our relationship in two words, it would be: Same page (or simple minded….). Chris and I worked the same shift and shortly after building a friendship we would spend most Saturdays at the bars close to our apartments which were only a few stone’s throw away. No matter how late the night would take us Saturday, before we would leave we would say two words ‘noon fifteen.’ Noon fifteen was not only a tribute to simpler times, but it was also a commitment. Noon fifteen meant the next day we’d meet at the coffee shop at 12:15pm, no further communication needed, no day of text to ask if he was going, we’d both be there, same page. 

Chris Spinelli

Eric was one of my first friends out in Albany, meeting through work at Regeneron. He was the first person who I hung out with consistently outside of work, taking on the bars and eating late night pizza on Lark St. Through the years we’ve gone on countless trips, from NYC to Scottsdale, and through those trips have really gotten to know each other (ask him about Mrytle Beach). Eric also is the cool, calm, collected golf partner who will always keep your head on straight even when your shots aren’t.

Matt and I met through Chris at a sports bar on Sunday, the beginnings of Sunday Funday, a weekly tradition of watching football, drinking and jokes. Matt has been a solid rock in my life sense that day. He can have some of the deepest conversations to help his friends in life, then pivot and crack lighthearted jokes in the next sentence. There is no judgement from Matt with how people approach life and that means no conversations are off-limits with him. The only judgement I have ever gotten from Matt was regarding my weapon choice in a theoretical zombie apocalypse.

Capital Hills At Albany

Walk over to the Corning City Preserve, Mohawk Hudson Hike/Bike Trail and the USS Slater DE-766. The Corning City Preserve is Albanys rich riverfront park with a playground and plenty of benches and tables that make it the perfect picnic spot. The paved Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail continues north and south from here. Head south to visit the USS Slater DE-766. During WWII, 563 Destroyer escorts battled Nazi U-boats on the Atlantic, protecting convoys of men and material. In the Pacific they stood in line to defend naval task forces from Japanese submarines and Kamikaze air attacks. The USS Slater DE-766 is the only one of these ships still afloat in the United States. Moored on the Hudson River, the USS Slater has undergone an extensive renovation that has returned the ship to her former glory. Tours run every 30 minutes 10am - 4pm Wed-Sunday.

The plaza is complete with historical attractions, walking tours, modern paintings and sculptures, memorials and remembrances, a performing arts center, 42 story observation deck, music and events.

Empire State Plaza 

Tues-Sunday 9:30am - 5:00pm A center of art, science, and history dedicated to exploring the human and natural history of the state. Tremendous NYC and Iroquois exhibits. The 9/11 exhibit is not to be missed. There’s also a working full-sized carousel on the 4th floor of the Museum. Admission is free.

New York State Museum

Mon-Friday 7:00am - 7:00pm (Guided tours at 10am, 12pm, 2pm) Visit the Million Dollar Staircase, the Senate Chamber, or the War Room, and you will understand why people call it the most beautiful state capitol in the country. This elaborately carved stone building was constructed between 1867 and 1899, with help from five different architects. Visitors are treated to a complete history of the building – ghost stories, unfinished carvings, famous inhabitants and all!
