Their story began in a classroom at Pleasant Hill Elementary, when they were forced to sit across from one another in their fifth grade class. Knowing Danielle would never talk to boys, Zach did his best to keep his distance, but of course, he couldn't help himself when he saw Danielle drawing one of his favorite video game characters. Zach and Danielle started talking about their shared love of video games. Yes, Danielle found herself doing something that she never had dreamed of, talking to an icky boy. Fast forward to 2010, when Zach and Danielle started high school at College Park. Zach was intimidated by the new setting, but immediately found comfort when he learned that he shared a second period P.E. class with Danielle. Zach asked Danielle about the video games they used to talk about in elementary school, which shocked Danielle that he remembered that detail. This was the start of their close and unwavering friendship. Even after Zach had to leave College Park they remained close, and found themselves talking regularly. Then one night, their junior year of high school while Zach was texting Danielle, he learned that she did not have a date to prom. He asked her to prom, and Danielle said "Yes". She was beautiful, and Zach was honored to have her as his date to prom. It was an amazing night, that ended with the DJ playing a slow song. Zach and Danielle shared one last dance that evening, but it wasn't like the others. As they embraced and swayed to the slow rhythm, feelings began to blossom. The dance would change the way they saw each other for the rest of their days. They started dating a few months later, and the rest is history!
