Can I bring my children?
Yes, but to preserve the reverence of the sacrament of marriage and due to limited seating at the reception, we kindly request that children under 10 attend only if they are part of the wedding party or direct family members of the couple. If this causes a hardship, please contact Dani or Eric, as we want everyone to feel welcome.
Additionally, please include all children in your party when you RSVP, so we can keep an accurate headcount. We appreciate your understanding.
May I bring additional guests?
Unfortunately, due to limited seating, we request people attending are limited to those on the RSVP list only. Please feel free to RSVP with the link on our website (coming soon!). If this feature is not working or you have any specific questions, please contact Dani or Eric directly. In order to get a final headcount, we ask that you RSVP by July 15th 2025.
May I take pictures on my phone?
At the church, please allow the photographer to capture all the special moments. We understand it may be tempting to grab your phone for a quick snapshot, but we humbly request that you leave your phone tucked away and on silent mode. Our photographer will be capturing the entire event, and those pictures will be happily shared with everyone after the big day. We want you all to be present with us during our holy sacrament which is made very difficult to do with a phone in your hand. Once it's reception time, feel free to pull out your phones to snap fun photos, videos, and selfies of the party all night long!
When should I arrive?
In order to allow for time before the ceremony/mass begins at 1:45pm, we ask that you arrive at the church no later than 1:30pm. The ceremony should last about one hour. The doors to the reception venue (The Factory on Cherry about one mile away from the church) will open at 4:30pm. Come and enjoy some cocktails (bar) and light hors d'oeuvres. The wedding party will enter around 5pm, with dinner, cocktails, and dancing to continue until 10pm. Directions to both the church and the reception venue can be found under the "Home" page.
What is the weather like in Troy, MO in mid-August?
Summers in Missouri have a tendency to get quite hot and humid, but thank goodness the wedding venue is air-conditioned. We recommend wearing something to keep you cool, comfortable, and appropriate for a wedding!
What's the dress code?
The wedding ceremony will be a traditional Catholic Mass, so to maintain the sacredness of the sacrament, our dress code is formal/semi-formal.
Will there be down time between the ceremony and the reception?
Yes, there is plenty of time scheduled between the conclusion of the ceremony and the beginning of the reception to allow for pictures and travel to the venue. During this time please feel free to explore a little of historic downtown Troy. Check out the "Things to Do" page for some ideas!
Will there be food and drinks at the reception?
Absolutely! What kind of party doesn't have plenty of food and refreshments? The dinner meal will be provided by a local business, Monty's BBQ, with a couple different meat options for the main entree and good ol' homestyle sides. There will also be an open bar throughout the night that will be staffed by friends and family of the couple, and possibly even the bride and groom themselves!
Check out Monty's Facebook page here!
Do you have a gift registry?
Your presence and prayers are the greatest gifts, but if you would like to contribute in another way, a gift to our Future Fund found under the "Registry" page would be wonderful. We do also have a small registry containing a few household items if that is more convenient! We appreciate your love and support as we start this new chapter.
(Just a little extra information for family and friends--Eric purchased a house in Fall of 2024. He made sure that Dani was included in the choice😉 . . .After the wedding, Dani is moving in and they have plans to construct a covered patio in the backyard of their new home.)
