Nathan and Danielle met on June 4th, 2022. Danielle was bored at a job that didn't fit right and in search of the next chapter of her life swiping on a dating app. She lived in Michigan at the time and she was trying to find where she was meant to be and wondering where her soulmate was hermitting, as she also liked to do. Turns out, he lived about 2 1/2 hours away in Indiana. They began messaging and, after a couple weeks of getting to know each other, wanted to meet in person. However, God had other plans in mind and Nathan got news that he was going to be deployed. Danielle was not able to know the exact details of his departure or return but stayed hopeful and they planned on meeting when he got back. The following day, she was surprised to learn that he had already flown across the ocean and was on his way to Jordan. For the next two months, they spent every day texting and hours video chatting every chance they could. After all the anticipation of waiting, the day finally came that Nathan was able to return home. He flew from Texas, had a layover in Colorado, landed in Indiana and then drove the 2 1/2 hours to finally meet Danielle! The connection was natural in person. They continued to make the drive to and from Michigan and Indiana many times over the next few months until Danielle finally made the leap to change jobs and move in with Nathan in Indiana! By the beginning of 2023, they were intertwining their lives together, building and growing as a family with his three wonderful children. Then, on November 17, 2024, Nathan popped the question!
