Our Wedding

Our journey began in preschool, where we met through our mothers’ friendships with each other and several other families. We went to different elementary schools but reconnected in middle school, where we started dating at 14 and became high school sweethearts. This October marks 13 amazing years together!!! During our college years, we faced the challenge of being in different states for two years. Despite the distance, we maintained our love with one another through frequent FaceTime calls and visits back and forth to Rhode Island and New York. I (the bride) decided to transfer to a school in Rhode Island after two years, where Chris was attending the University of Rhode Island. I enrolled at Johnson and Wales University in order to be closer together and boyyyy did we cherish our time in the Ocean State together!! We made amazing memories exploring Boston, Block Island, and all the hidden spots in Rhode Island! Following our college graduations, we returned home, and after two years, we took the exciting step of moving in together. Our little family grew with the addition of our first puppy, Rocky. Our little monster 👹 (Thank you&nbsp;MaryAnn and Bob!)&nbsp; In our first year of living together, Chris proposed to me on Christmas morning 2022, creating a magical moment under the Christmas tree, just the two of us. Now, after two wonderful years of engagement, we are eagerly looking forward to our future together. We have decided to celebrate our wedding with a destination event to create an unforgettable experience for both us and our guests. As we gather in beautiful Playa Del Carmen Mexico, your presence will mean the world to us. We kindly request no gifts; having you with us to share in this special time is all we could ever wish for.

We are thrilled to have Melissa, Danielles sister, by our side as the matron of honor!  I (the bride) had the privilege of being her maid of honor at her stunning wedding in Mexico in 2018, and I’m incredibly excited to have her stand by my side as my matron of honor now!

We are so happy to have Rob, Chris' brother, is our Best Man!! We are so incredibly excited and grateful to have him by our side on our big day! We've shared so many great & meaningful moments over the years, and having him with us as we start this new chapter means so much to us!

TRAVEL MUST HAVES 

-Bring plenty of sunscreen as it is pricey to buy it at the resort.&nbsp; -In addition, bring plenty of bug spray/ bug repellent too! November is not known to be a very buggy time of year but again, we are in the jungle &amp; it will be expensive at the resort. So better to be safe than sorry!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; -Water Shoes!!! This beautiful resort is surrounded by natural rivers, cenotes and beaches that are perfect for exploring. Water shoes are a must to be comfortable and safe while enjoying all of the aquatic activities! Not to mention the many excursions and parks nearby that are INCLUDED in your stay, where you will need water shoes too!&nbsp; - Not a must-have, but goggles/ snorkeling equipment can be very useful around this property!

AIRPORTS

CANCUN INTERNATIONAL 

Cancun International Airport is one of Mexicos busiest airports. It is considered to be a main hub for travelers heading to the east coast of Mexico. This airport is about 50-55 minutes from Hotel Xcaret Mexico. A shuttle arrives about every 30 minutes to pick up travelers specifically for Hotel Xcaret Mexico. There is a special area for Hotel Xcaret Mexico guests to wait and grab a drink before the shuttle arrives.

TULUM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Tulum International Airport is a brand new and much smaller airport. It is located in the more southern region near Tulum. We traveled to this airport this past summer, and it was generally empty. Customs took less than 10 minutes when arriving, and security took 5 minutes when leaving Mexico. Obviously, this could vary based on the time of year traveled. This airport is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Hotel Xcaret Mexico. IF YOU CHOOSE THIS AIRPORT YOU MUST CONTACT THE RESORT TO SET UP YOUR TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT. It’s still included! Just a newer airport without the bus transportation!

Your flights are NOT included in your stay and must be booked by you!

However, your transportation to and from the airport to the hotel IS included. These are the two airport options and up to you which one you want to fly in and out of!
