The first phone number Chad got when he moved to North Carolina was Danielle's...

Chad met Danielle the very first day he moved to Charlotte on July 1, 2016. Their first introduction was brief as Danielle was leaving the oh so humble abode of Jarrid Marshall (groomsman), Marc Neith (groomsman), and Jay Bianco (groomsman) on Lake Norman in Mooresville, NC, while Chad was just arriving.

A quick rewind to the story...

Unbeknownst to Chad, a Snapchat story revealed a few weeks earlier that his good college buddy, Marc Neith, had in recent months moved to the Charlotte area in the very same town that Chad would be moving to. Marc happened to live with Danielle's high school friend Jay and his cousin Jarrid. Here is the part where Danielle has to give her longtime high school friend, Dylan Smith, self-proclaimed "Mamba," credit because she knows he would have something to say if she didn't...Dylan helped convinced Danielle to move to NC in June of 2016, just two weeks before Chad.

Now back to the story of when Chad and Danielle met. Two days after their first encounter, Chad and Danielle attended the same fourth of July party at the very same house they had briefly met on Lake Norman. Danielle and Chad instantly remembered one another as they greeted each other for the second time. They shared a few laughs and many drinks. It was in the line for the bathroom that Danielle gave Chad her phone number. Now we know you might be thinking that Danielle had been interested in Chad...but that was not exactly the case. Sure, Danielle thought he was cute, but she had just moved to NC and was just looking for new friends. As the story goes, Chad and Danielle's friendship transpired as the months went on. Danielle would often hang out with the boys at the house on Lake Norman. They spent summer days on the boat and nights out in Charlotte. Sometimes, Danielle would bring her friends who got to know Chad. They always talked about how nice and loud he was, to which Danielle would respond, "Chad is really great...in small doses." You see, Chad was fresh out of college and was still very much a college boy. Danielle was two years older than Chad and had matured (hahaha). Sometimes Chad would flirt playfully with Danielle and occasionally Danielle would return the flirtatious exchanges.

Thanksgiving of 2018...

Danielle and Chad had been friends for about a year and a half when they first showed real interest in one another. During a cabin trip in Boone, NC with their group of friends to celebrate"Friendsgiving," Danielle and Chad bonded. They exchanged stories about their failed relationships, indulged in a shared plate of green bean casserole, and talked until the sun was almost rising.

After the cabin, Chad moved into the city of Charlotte where Danielle and Chad spent nearly every weekend together. They were still "just friends," but they both knew it was more than that. After a month passed, Danielle expressed interest in making things more "official," however, Chad was not ready. Danielle was patient with him, but eventually, her feelings became too strong to continue on with the way things were. Chad was still not ready, so Chad and Danielle went back to being just friends...for about a week. Chad then realized his true feelings for Danielle and couldn't imagine not being with her.

Fast forward to the present...

Chad proposed to Danielle on December 2, 2020. They cannot wait to celebrate their love on April 30, 2022, with their friends and family!
