Danielle & Joseph's story dates back to summer 2019 - even if Joseph didn't know it at the time.

Danielle decided to join her mom for dinner with some of her mom's friends. At this dinner, Danielle met Nancy, Joseph's aunt, who insisted that Danielle should meet and would love her "handsome nephew." However, Danielle was preparing for her move to Italy so she just laughed while thinking to herself, "Every aunt thinks their nephew is handsome!"

Danielle moved to Italy, but every now and then, when her mom would see Nancy, the idea of possibly getting in touch with Joseph would be brought up. Danielle refused every time.

Until, that is, Christmas 2021, when Danielle was asked by her mom once again if she would consider meeting Joseph, to which she replied, "If I meet him, will you stop asking?"

Joseph was told there was a "beautiful Italian girl" for him to meet. He agreed with zero hesitation.

After a few days of chatting on WhatsApp, Danielle and Joseph met on January 2, 2022 at Beacon 70 in Brick, New Jersey for their first date where they shared a bottle of wine, some good conversation, and a few pictures of Danielle's own handsome nephew. They ended the evening with a kiss!

But Danielle was going back to Italy just a few days later...

For the next 6 months, Joseph and Danielle stayed in touch. They texted, spoke on the phone, and even had video dinner-dates. When it was official that Danielle would be moving back to America, Joseph went to visit her in Rome, where they officially began their relationship.

They have been inseparable ever since!

Exactly one year after Joseph's initial visit to Rome, they traveled back for a friend's wedding. While there, Joseph surprised Danielle with a beautiful proposal in Villa Borghese. It meant so much to Danielle that Joseph chose to do this in her favorite city, a place that means so much to her personally and to their relationship.

Danielle and Joseph are so excited to share and celebrate their love with their families and friends!
