Where should I stay?
We recommend staying in Lake Harmony as that is where a majority of the events will take place. Check out the Travel section of our website for room block details at Split Rock and airbnb suggestions. We will have wedding day transportation taking the group from the ceremony location in Lake Harmony to the reception in White Haven (and back!). Bus rides will be 20 minutes each direction.
Ubers are not available in the area, so please plan on riding the group buses. Parking is available at the Powerhouse if you have a designated driver.
When should I book lodging?
The Poconos can get busy during the summer months, especially around the lake! We recommend booking as soon as you are ready to. Please reach out if you have any questions or need suggestions of where to stay in the neighborhood.
Can I bring my kids?
We politely ask that there are no children at the Wedding Ceremony and Reception on Saturday, 6/24/23.
Children are welcome for all other events during the weekend, including rafting, lake day and the welcome BBQ.
If you need help finding a babysitter for the wedding ceremony and reception, please let us know as we may be able to connect you with local people who are available help. We would love for all adults to enjoy a night of dinner, drinks and dancing.
What is the attire?
Please wear cocktail attire (nice dresses and a coat and tie or suit) for the ceremony and reception. The ceremony will be outdoors, but a very close walk from the parking lot (100 ft).
Do you have a rain plan?
In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the Chapel at Hickory Run State Park. The chapel holds 50 people, so in the event of rain, the ceremony will be limited to immediate family. The Reception at The Powerhouse Eatery is fully indoors. (Fingers crossed for a sunny day!)
We are so excited to have you join us for a weekend in the Poconos! Please reach out if you have any questions.
