Moving to Raleigh in 2021, Wesley was in search of friends in his new area. What he never expected was to find his person so soon. Wesley met Danielle, and they immediately bonded over their love for their dogs. She helped him navigate his new city, and together they adventured around her home state. They’ve been inseparable ever since Wesley asked if they were “going steady.”

Fast forward three years: Wesley and Danielle were loving their life in Raleigh but sensed it was time for a change. They had always enjoyed visiting the mountains (thanks, Miranda and David!), and realized that a change in scenery was exactly what they were looking for. In the summer of 2024, they made the leap to Western North Carolina. They’ve now settled on their mountaintop and are thrilled with their decision.

And while this chapter has been an adventure, Wesley knew it was time for the next one. On one of their favorite hikes, he got down on one knee and asked Danielle to marry him. Now, they can’t wait to become husband and wife next summer.
