One of our favorite places just about 15 minutes outside of Asheville! A huge brewery with great beer. They also serve wine and sours. Their food is awesome and the atmosphere is so much fun and family-friendly. They offer live entertainment out back on many days!
Grove Arcade
1 Page Avenue, Asheville, NC
This is a beautiful historic building that has been repurposed into a shopping center. Great for browsing!
Wicked Weed Funkatorium
147 Coxe Ave, Asheville, NC
Great atmosphere and beer! There is also a “standard” Wicked Weed brewery in Asheville - this one focuses on sours, but also has regular beers. They also serve food. Just a short walk from the main area of downtown, and in a fun area with lots of breweries to hop around to. Danielle’s fave is the Perni-Haze!
Ben's Tune Up
195 Hilliard Ave, Asheville, NC
A short walk from the main section of downtown, this is a cool indoor-outdoor bar with a laid back, eclectic feel. They also serve sake!
Burial Beer Co.
40 Collier Ave, Asheville, NC
A little dive brewery an easy walk from the main section of downtown. Sooo many beers on tap, and they’re all so good (we’ve tested many of them)! Indoor and outdoor seating.
The Rhu
10 S Lexington Ave, Asheville, NC
Great spot for coffee and a light breakfast! Their morning baked goods are delicious and they also have a variety of breakfast sandwiches.
New Belgium Brewing
21 Craven St, Asheville, NC
Less than a 10 minute drive from downtown, this is a great brewery with lots of space and good beer. Nice views and lots of outdoor seating!
AC Hotel
10 Broadway St, Asheville, NC
The rooftop has a great bar and beautiful panoramic views of the city and mountains. Definitely recommend getting a drink up here and taking in the scenery!
Sovereign Remedies
29 N. Market St, Asheville, NC
Intimate and trendy cocktail bar. Great selection and fun atmosphere. We came here right after seeing The Venue for the first time - it’s right around the corner!
S&W Market
56 Patton Ave
For the Charlotteans, think of this as a smaller version of Optimist Hall with more vintage vibes. This beautiful mini food hall has vendors that sell things from artisan meats and cheeses to fresh empanadas and fried chicken sandwiches. The upstairs has a wraparound Highland Brewery looking down into the food hall.
