Danielle and Edwin

One night during their junior year at MSU, Danielle and Edwin both went out with a group of friends bowling. Danielle was a few alleys away from Edwin when she noticed him walking towards her group. He sat and chatted for a while, and a few days later he asked her to grab a coffee. They began hanging out in October of 2018. By the time Christmas came around Danielle and Edwin were still "just friends". He was going to come back from Canada on Christmas Eve due to hockey practice. Danielle did not want Edwin to spend the holidays alone so she invited him to her family’s Christmas Eve celebration and introduced him to everyone as her “friend”. On Christmas Day 2018 Edwin told Danielle he did not want to be introduced as her friend anymore and the rest is history! They had to do long distance after graduation due to Covid and Edwin playing hockey in Utah. In 2021, Edwin hung up his skates and moved in with Danielle, and in July 2023 they got engaged. They recently bought their first home in Shakopee, Minnesota where they cannot wait to start a long life together with their dog, Loon.
