Luke and Danielle met at the University of Kentucky in 2018, and from that first conversation, we knew something special was happening. Luke and Danielle’s paths crossed unexpectedly, and what started as a simple friendship quickly turned into something much more meaningful.

From walks around campus to late-night talks, we found ourselves enjoying every moment together. We supported each other through the ups and downs of college life, and it didn’t take long for us to realize we were in love.

After graduation, Danielle pursued her dream of becoming a doctor, leading her to Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Eager to support her and build a life together, Luke made the decision to move to Springfield, IL. During this time, he seized the opportunity to further his education by obtaining a Master's degree in business, which has significantly enriched his professional capabilities.

The couple completed their family by welcoming their Australian Shepherd, Blu, who has been a loyal companion, bringing endless joy and energy into their lives.

Now, they all reside in Springfield, IL—Danielle is in her Radiology Residency at SIU School of Medicine, and Luke thrives as a Specialty Shop Manager at Scheels. Life is busy, but through the challenges of residency and work, they’ve ensured their home is filled with love, laughter, and plenty of puppy cuddles.

What started as a chance meeting turned into a lasting connection, and today, we’re excited to be starting this new chapter of our lives together. We feel so lucky to have met at UK and to have shared these incredible experiences along the way.
