Our First Picture Together!
Danielle and Hunter's story began unexpectedly on a sunny day in Bucks County. Danielle was out training for the Broad Street Run with her sister when she left her wallet in the car. After the run, she realized it was still there, just as her sister had already headed back to Philadelphia. On a whim, her sister suggested they stop by a housewarming party in Philly to retrieve it, even though Danielle wasn’t invited.
Hunter wasn’t sure about going to the same party, but eventually decided to join after some encouragement from friends. At the party, they noticed each other across the room. Hunter, a bit nervous, approached Danielle during a game of Flip Cup. They quickly hit it off, bonding over their shared experiences of grad school, training for the Broad Street Run, and mutual friends.
After the party, they ended up at another bar, Morgan's Pier, where Hunter finally asked if he could kiss Danielle. Before she could answer, she leaned in and kissed him first.
From that night on, they were inseparable, staying in constant contact through calls and texts, seeing each other every weekend, and eventually deciding to move in together in Fairmount after two years of long-distance dating.
Hunter proposed during a trip to the Cayman Islands, on the beach at Cemetery Beach. He jokingly said, “Sorry this is happening at a place called Cemetery Beach, but will you marry me?” Danielle happily said yes, and they began the next chapter of their lives together.
