Danielle and Alex's story began on August 25th, 2014 where they met at USY encampment at Ramah Nyack. Danielle and Alex met while sitting together at lunch. They played a game, talked, and Alex really liked Danielle's spiderman home-screen on her phone. A few hours later, Alex texted their mutual friend that he had a crush on Danielle. The two spent time together that day, but unfortunately the next day was the last day of camp. When Danielle got home from Encampment, she went to see her friend Rachel, where she told Rachel about the guy she met. Rachel asked his name and it turned out Rachel knew Alex! On August 29th, Rachel and Danielle went to a party at Cedar Creek Park where Alex and his friends would be. This is the first picture of Danielle and Alex.

On September 5, 2014, Alex officially asked Danielle to be his girlfriend. And on September 21, 2014, Danielle and Alex went to USY kick-off for the year, which was a dance at Hillcrest Jewish Center, where this picture was taken. For their 1 month anniversary, Alex got Danielle a Spiderman phone case.

They had an amazing first few months together! They went the USY prom, apple picking, and of course an Islanders game!

For February break, both Danielle and Alex's families had trips planned to Disney World. On that trip, Alex asked Danielle to Prom in front of the Disney Castle! Alex made these shirts, and as they walked around the Disney parks the rest of the day, everyone kept asking if they were getting married. They got matching Minion t-shirts at Disney and wore them together to the next USY event

The next few months were pure happiness. They went to Danielle's junior prom and Alex's senior prom, and created so many amazing memories.

Alex graduated from high school and they enjoyed all of their time together that summer, until the real challenge began and Alex went to college at Buffalo.

A few months later, Alex came home from Buffalo to surprise Danielle and attend Leah's bat mitzvah! Danielle was so surprised and excited to see him and apparently Danielle's entire family knew and was able to keep it a secret.

When Alex was home for winter break, Danielle asked Alex to her senior Prom. They enjoyed Alex's school breaks together by going into the city, seeing the Broadway show Aladdin, going into the city for the Saint Patrick's day parade, and of course another Islanders game. The following Spring semester, Danielle went to Buffalo to visit Alex and they had a great time!

A few months later they attended Danielle's senior prom, along with another USY prom.

Danielle graduated from high school and they spent another amazing summer together by going to a Mets game and a vacation in Fire Island. Danielle moved into her dorm at Penn State on August 21, 2016, so Danielle and Alex would not see each other until Thanksgiving Break. This was the longest they ever went without seeing each other.

During winter break, they continued on with their yearly traditions and went into the city, ate at Little Italy, saw the Christmas tree. They went to Ripley's Believe It or Not museum and Top of the Rock.

As the years went by, Danielle and Alex did the best they could to visit each other at school and celebrate when they were home. During the summer of 2017, they went to the BLI concert, the Bronx Zoo, and Coney Island.

For those of you who don't know, Danielle and Alex's birthdays are 1 day apart so every summer they celebrate together. In 2017, Danielle and Alex had a party at Alex's house and in August they went to Ocean City Maryland on vacation. They had an amazing summer and then went back to college.

This year was different and they were better at visiting each other as they began having cars at college. They went to Niagara falls upon at Buffalo, Penn State football games, apple picking in State College, PA, and obviously another Islanders game.

The next summer Danielle and Alex went back to Disney for a second time. They also went to the Jones Beach airshow, a carnival, and the North Fork wineries.

Fall was always Danielle and Alex's favorite season, where they would go apple picking, pumpkin picking, eat roasted corn, and dress up for halloween!

In May 2019, Alex graduated from Buffalo and began working at Fluent, Inc. in New York City!

To celebrate Alex's graduation, Danielle and Alex went to Las Vegas! They went hot air ballooning, in a helicopter over the grand canyon, and hiked in Red Rock Canyon.

In July they celebrated Danielle's 21st Birthday and 2 days later, Alex's 22nd birthday! The rest of the summer the walked the Highline in NYC, went to a Florida Georgia Line concert, and a few baseball games!

In August 2019, Danielle and Alex went to Charleston, NC to celebrate the end of the summer and then Danielle headed to her senior year of college!

Alex visited Danielle multiple times throughout the semester, as it was the last time they would have to be long distanced! They went to Penn State football games and celebrated Halloween together! During winter break they saw Mean Girls on Broadway, saw the Christmas Tree, ate at Little Italy, and continued their annual holiday traditions in the city.

But we all know what happened in 2020 and the COVID-19 Pandemic began. Danielle came home from school in March 2020 and graduated from her living room in May 2020.

They went a few weeks without seeing each other because of the Pandemic but they were very excited every time they got to see each other! They would go on hikes and go to strawberry picking, lavender fields, sunflower fields, and do other outdoor activities. For Danielle's birthday, Alex booked tickets to go on a helicopter trip over NYC and threw Danielle a surprise dinner party!

In August 2020, Danielle and Alex vacationed in Montauk over the summer and then Danielle started her first year of law school a few months later.

As their favorite season came around again, they went out to the wineries with their friends, painted pumpkins, and dressed up as Woody and Jessie from ToyStory for Halloween!

As the rest of the year went on, they spent time with family as Alex's nephew was born, and went on a hockey tournament with Danielle's brother, Corey to Rhode Island! In June 2021, Danielle and Alex went on a road trip on the East Coast! They started in North Carolina where they attended their friend Courtney's wedding! They then went to Charlotte for 2 days and spent another 5 days in Virginia Beach. They ended their trip camping in Cape May with Alex's family, traveling about 3,000 miles. Of course we got a flat tire in New Jersey when we were almost home after an amazing trip!

In the summer of 2021, Danielle's family got a house in Fire Island where they would spent a lot of their time that summer with friends and family. The rest of the summer they would make a ton of amazing memories going to a Jets v. Bills game and Boardy Barn. Alex moved into his first apartment since college on September 19, 2021!

In the Fall of 2021, Danielle and Alex continued the tradition of going to the wineries with their friends on the North Fork of Long Island! This year for Halloween they dressed up like Scooby and Shaggy. And in December for the holidays, Danielle and Alex went horse back riding.

For New Years, Alex and Danielle went to visit Danielle's college roommate, also named Danielle, in Tampa! They had the best time and they went to see Penn State in the Outback Bowl!

In January, Corey had his bar mitzvah! They had a very romantic rest of the winter! They went to a nice dinner for Valentine's Day, the Hofstra Barrister's Ball

Danielle and Alex spent the rest of the summer in Fire Island and visiting Alex's family at their camp ground!

And obviously this fall Alex got down on one knee and asked Danielle to spend the rest of her life with him! The start of their happily ever after!
