I was helping out at the fair when a mutual friend introduced me to David for the first time. I was so embarrassed since I was covered in hay from head to toe. But the whole rest of the day I was hoping I would see him again.

A typical school day started with me on the stage awkwardly waiting for classes to begin. Everyday I saw David walk in with his headphones on staring at the ground. Each morning I would say "Hi" as he dropped his book bag next to me. Let's just say his music was too loud because I never got a response. Until one day, I was taking a drink of water when I heard a monotoned deep "Hey". I was in so much shock, I completely choked. Literally, I choked on my water and turned beat red. By the time I was able to form a word. I had missed my chance.. he was back to staring at the ground blasting music.

After our soccer tournament, both teams were going to dinner. I was sitting in front of a classmate when I heard he forgot his wallet. So I offered to pay for him. This lead me to sit with him and a few of his friends. I quickly remember one of his friends was David. Surprisingly, we both said more than one word. We actually talked the entire time. (so thank you, Jake)

Since that night, we talked 24/7. I remember David used to get in trouble for talking to me so late. He still insisted on wanting to ask my dads permission before dating. 3 months pass until he finally asked my father on February 17, 2016.

I quickly found ways to spend more time with Dave. Like learning basketball by becoming 'Stat Girl'. Which allowed me to go to every single game.

We definitely had a lot of fun together. No matter what we always found a way to laugh. Whether it was singing on the top of our lungs while driving to taco bell or wandering around
aimlessly in Walmart for hours.

After a year of dating David and I graduated as high school sweethearts. We both went to SCCC for a short period of time.

On Christmas Eve, David & I went to his family's house for dinner like always. As soon as I got there, David told me we have to go to Buds Bar for alcohol. As we were getting into the car, Dave mentioned he wanted to go down to the docks & look at the water. You would think this is where I would catch on.... its not. This is a very typical Dave thing to do. Once we got down to the dock. David stepped back causing me to turn around. As soon as I turned, I saw him on one knee. All I could say was "Are you serious?" about 100 times. David slowly opened up the ring box and asked "So?" and I think you know what I said...
Almost 2 years later we will be having our wedding on Culvers Lake where Dave proposed. David & I are so excited to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends surrounding us.
