We met as most modern couples do, a dating app. A random swipe led to the two of us talking and eventually agreeing to grab some grilled cheese at the farmers market.

We hit it off! one date became two, then 3, next thing we knew it had been nearly 6 months. Then covid hit. You'd think the isolation and strained communications would have driven us apart but oddly enough it had the opposite effect. We talked every day, made plans for when this would all be over. We became each other's rock in a strange and confusing time.

Once we were on the other side of that there was nothing that could really slow us down: not moving in together, not changing careers, not the big move out to Halifax. We were tied together now, the only thing left was to make it official with a big party and some pretty rings to celebrate the rest of our lives
