Our Journey Together:   On May 26th, 2022, Garrett and I went on our first date at Rockwell’s (The Post) in Villa Park, California, after matching on Bumble just a few days before. We closed the restaurant down that night, lingering in the parking lot until 3 AM, talking and laughing as if we had known each other for years. Little did I know, from that Friday on, we would be inseparable. After our third date, I was starting to get a little impatient—Garrett still hadn't kissed me! So, being me, I decided to make it a bit difficult for him, knowing full well he was the one. I thought it would be a funny story to tell later on that it took Garrett six dates—and one very long night—for him to finally make his move. A year into our relationship, with Garrett’s unwavering support, kindness, and patience, I made a big decision. I moved in with my grandparents to help care for them. A few months into this new chapter, we decided it was time to rescue a dog. At a Labrador & Friends rescue event, we met Lola, a German Shepherd-blue heeler mix, and it was love at first sight. We brought her home a few weeks later, and together, we began to build our life as a team. Lola has tested our communication, partnership, and schedules, but through every challenge, she’s brought us closer together. If I didn’t know after three dates that Garrett was the one, I certainly knew by this point. A year and four months later, Garrett proposed to me in the front yard of our home—the place where we spend countless hours playing with Lola and dreaming about our future. It was the perfect setting to mark the beginning of the next chapter in our lives. Our wedding journey has been a bit of a winding road, with dates changing several times as we explored venues. Garrett found Vellano Estates, the place where we’ll be having both our ceremony and reception. The venue had limited availability, so if you’re wondering why we’re getting married so soon after our engagement, rest assured it’s because this was the only date that worked for both of our families' schedules. We’ve carefully selected each person on our invite list, and we hope you can join us in celebrating this special day, filled with love, laughter, and the beginning of our forever.
