By far our favorite restaurant in Lake Placid. We once ate here three nights in a row during one of our trips just to try as many items on the menu as we could. Incredible food, brewery, and full bar. Their menu is seasonally rotating and they source all their ingredients from local farmers. They also have an incredible Sunday brunch which we make sure to check out every time we're in town.
Incredible craft cocktails with an awesome view of mirror lake. Just off Main Street, it's one of our favorite pit stops for a drink when walking around town. They also have delicious small plates and appetizers to share. We recommend the confit chicken wings! If you're in the mood for a cocktails, make sure to ask your bartender to play "the game" which is a bartender's version of 20 questions to create your own custom craft cocktail!
Home of the famous Ubu Ale, this place is a go to stop for a flight of beer and some pulled pork nachos after a day in the mountains.
Incredible in house smoked BBQ and scratch made sides. Some of the best brisket we have ever had. Located right on Main Street, it's a great place to stop for dinner & drinks after a day of hiking. Make sure you call ahead to get a table because the line is usually out the door!
This is another one of our favorite breakfast spots located on Main Street. We definitely recommend trying their homemade biscuits and sausage. If you're in the mood for a boozy brunch make sure you order one of their gourmet Bloody Mary's!
Our go to coffee stop when we are out and about in downtown Lake Placid! They've also got a great breakfast burrito if you need to fuel up and recover after a night out... highly recommend.
A local stop in Upper Jay less than a mile from our wedding venue, The Grand Peaks Lodge! They make fantastic in house roasted coffee and have a great breakfast/lunch menu! We definitely recommend ordering the corned beef hash, it was some of the best we have had! Also make sure you try their homemade jam and baked goods!
For our hockey fan enthusiasts, make sure to check out the new museum to relive the "Miracle on Ice". The entire museum is full of Olympic history including Olympic torches, pins, uniforms, equipment, and more, with a focus on the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic games hosted by Lake Placid.
