The story of Danielle and Joe began during the late summer of 2021, in the haven of romance that is South Boston. The two first crossed paths at a mutual friend’s birthday party, wherein their first conversation was a disagreement over the effectiveness and taste of Monster energy. Danielle proceeded to express to her friends how she disliked Joes “cocky” attitude. When Joe caught wind of this, he chose to assume that this meant Danielle was interested and that this was her way of flirting. Maybe Danielle was right about his attitude. For the rest of the day, Joe put all his energy into changing her mind about him. They spent the remainder of day and evening together, talking, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company, and by the end of the night it seemed like maybe his efforts had paid off. Joe left Danielle his number and assumed that hard work and general charisma would garner him, at the very least, a text.

It did not.

Several weeks passed and Danielle had still not reached out. Joe worried that he had missed out on his chance, but luckily, Danielle hadn’t forgotten about him ( she just wanted to play it cool). While sitting at a picnic table of a local Southie bar known as Playwright, Joe was thinking about Danielle when his phone buzzed. Coincidently, Danielle was sitting in the same bar, thinking about Joe, and decided to reach out. From that day forward their relationship grew quickly, and they became inseparable. The next year was filled with numerous north end dinner dates, Celtics games, and hangouts on the roof of Joes apartment with friends. Joe loved Danielle from the very beginning. He fell for her beauty, sense of humor, and sociability. He loved every second he spent with her. Danielle was thoughtful, kind, and understood Joe more than anyone had. She was his best friend. For Danielle, Joe’s great of head of hair and confident smile were what initially drew her to him. And as they got to know each other, she grew to admire his work ethic and competitiveness. But ultimately it was his sense of humor, genuineness, and loyalty to his friends and family that made her fall in love with him.

As the blissful months passed, their feelings for each other never faded. Even the failings and tragedy of Joe’s beloved Celtics weren’t enough to come between them (This is our year though, Banner 18, we deserve this), and they decided to move into a small apartment in Waltham in the fall of 2022. A tight apartment with a small bathroom, limited counterspace, and a boyfriend with an exceptional ability to annoy is typically a recipe for some interpersonal issues. However, thanks to their love for each other, and Danielle’s extraordinary patience, this only brought them closer together. This period of their relationship made them feel confident about their future together, and this feeling only became stronger when they adopted two kittens. The two wonderful, yet ferocious, felines served as both protection for the household, and a start to a family.

While the close quarters strengthened their resolve as a couple, Danielle’s fading tolerance for limited storage and properly functioning facilities, Joe’s yearning for workable land, and the cats demand to sprint, tackle, and hunt at all hours of the day led the couple to purchase a home in the spring of 2023. They now reside in the beautiful town of Westborough, the crown jewel of the commonwealth. It’s here that they hope to grow their family, and their love for one another. Joe and Danielle know the next chapter of their story will be filled with as much love and laughter as the last, and they look forward to celebrating with all their friends and family on August 2nd, 2024.
