In August 2020, Danielle and Sean met on a dating app — shout out to Hinge! Sean asked Danielle out to dinner in what is now their shared hometown, choosing a much fancier spot than Danielle had in mind. That night they shared great food, cocktails, and conversation, closing down the restaurant together… and the rest is history!

What Danielle didn’t know at the time was that Sean quietly saved the receipt from their first date... he just had a feeling! Now, every August, they return to that same restaurant to celebrate where it all began and Sean still saves the receipt every time.

That first date quickly turned into a second and then a third. Before long, it was clear they had found something real. In those first months, they discovered shared goals and a love for the outdoors, concerts, breweries, camping, and making memories with the people they love most.

In the summer of 2023, a dream came true for Danielle and her family: a long-awaited trip to Italy, including a visit to the hometowns of her great-grandparents. Sean knew it would be the perfect time to propose. With help from Danielle’s family, he planned a beautiful surprise proposal on the foothills of Mount Vesuvius at Cantina Del Vesuvio Winery in Naples, Italy. The whole family celebrated with an incredible meal at the home of the winery owners and continued on throughout Italy for two weeks, celebrating all along the way.

Since then, Danielle and Sean have continued building their life together and making memories while planning their wedding. They found the perfect venue right on the Hudson River and are beyond excited to finally get married, celebrate with all the people they love, and start the next chapter of their story together!
