Danielle and Elijah met at Cedarville University during the second semester of their freshman year.

Danielle wanted to explore outside of her home in Greenville, SC, and chose to go to Ohio to attend Cedarville for their psychology program. Elijah started his college career at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on a nearly full academic scholarship when he felt the strong pull of the Holy Spirit to pursue the Lord and a God-centered education. Through a series of doors the Lord opened Elijah was able to make the transfer to Cedarville for spring of 2023.

God had more plans for them at Cedarville than just their education. They became friends in January of 2023 and bonded over shared interests. On September 4, Elijah asked Danielle if she would be interested in dating with the intention of getting married. They took some time talking over compatibility, future plans, God's will for their lives, boundaries, etc., and when they were sure, they became a couple on September 21st, 2023. They've spent their time together since that day seeking the Lord's direction for their relationship and growing closer to Him and to each other.

After the wedding, the couple will live in Cedarville to finish their studies. Elijah will have one semester left to complete his degree in Finance, and Danielle will graduate with a degree in Psychology in spring of 2026 with plans to go on to obtain her Master's degree online.
