During the summer of 2018, Danielle and Zack rented summer homes in Manasquan, NJ with their respective friend groups from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) and Franklin & Marshall (F&M). They eventually met through mutual friends and began hanging out together for BBQs and parties, enjoying lazy beach days, and hitting their favorite beach bars.

After the summer of 2018 ended, the groups continued having fun in the fall by getting together for Giants/Eagles games, birthday celebrations, and events in Philadelphia, Hoboken, and New York City.

Then, summer of 2019, Danielle’s TCNJ friends and Zack’s F&M friends joined together to rent a single beach house for three months. Danielle & Zack quietly had a crush on each other and one night they just missed their friends leaving for the bar. They found a bottle of wine and cracked it open as they started cleaning up the kitchen, chatting and joking around with each other. Zack said he knew that night that he was going to marry Danielle someday. They stayed attached at the hip the whole summer after that.

Later that summer, Zack bravely entered the Collingswood house to meet Danielle’s housemates and took her to a Thomas Rhett concert at BB&T for their first official date. As the two would leave the shore on weekends, they would continue to hang out in Collingswood and find ways to spend more time together before the following weekend.

As that summer came to a close, Zack asked Danielle to be his girlfriend on August 30, 2019, at The Parker House and the two continued to date while each living with their friends in Philadelphia.

In February 2022, Zack received a job offer in NYC. He and Danielle became roommates for the second time when they moved in together and moved to Jersey City, NJ. As they started this new chapter together, their relationship and friendship grew even stronger, and they had a lot of fun in the process. Danielle even managed to successfully convert Zack into a Devils fan, while Zack taught Danielle to accept that Colin Cowherd would be on their tv each afternoon.


Fast forward to October 29, 2022, Zack told Danielle they were going to brunch in downtown Jersey City before a Halloween party later that day. Instead, he walked her around Liberty State Park and asked her to marry him. He then surprised her with a wonderful celebration with friends and family at The Brass Rail in Hoboken which she says was the best day of her life.
