We first met when we started working together at St. Cloud Technical & Community College in early 2016. Working next door to each other, we spent the days and weeks and months getting to know each other while at work: first as colleagues, then as individuals, and then as friends.

After nearly 6 years of listening to one another, spending time together, learning about each other, and looking forward to the moments we had together, we both independently started realizing in spring 2022 that a romantic relationship was what we really wanted with the other one. The fact we were attracted to each other in so many ways had never come up before, but with that only growing, we realized that the other was the significant other we had been looking for.

From there we started dating in spring 2022, and 2 things were immediately apparent: we were incredibly compatible in a relationship and made a great team without diminishing any of that attraction, and that we should have figured this out a long time ago because the only thing we wanted, and still want, is time together. We only grew to learn more about each other, become more attracted to one another, and eventually to falling in love with each other.

Dating and being deeply in love eventually led to buying a home together in late June 2023. We knew early on in our relationship that what we wanted was a future together, including marriage. Late September 2023 came and with it so did the proposal that had been in the works for months. Surrounded in our home by memories and trinkets and items that represented the months and landmark moments of our relationship, we happily got engaged and made official what we had always been open about since we realized our love for one another – wanting each other as our future spouse!

Which in turn leads us to now, where we spend our days and nights enjoying each other’s company as often as we can, excited about this wedding and our future as husband and wife as we think about our lives together and sharing this moment with the people we care about most!
