Danielle and Stephen’s story began in 1996 at the Inn at East Hill Farm. In looking for a new vacation spot, both families stumbled upon the Farm in magazines (so 90’s), and out of pure luck, the Nelsons and the Sollamis booked the Farm for the same week of the same year. Now, if you have heard anything about the Farm over the years, guests rebook the same week every year. Despite some small bathrooms and smelly animals, both families continued to go. As Danielle and Stephen grew up, they started to hang out at farm activities such as scavenger hunts, dodgeball, capture the flag, and everything in between. According to Stephen, Danielle was always “just the girl from the farm.”

Fast forward to college years, Stephen attempted to hang out with Danielle outside of the farm. He is still bitter that Danielle did not attend two parties he invited her to at St. Joe’s. Their paths crossed once at an Eagles game, but other than that they missed each other quite frequently, despite finding out that they were within five miles of each other on multiple other occasions.

Danielle prides herself on going to the farm every year, but there were two summers she did not attend. In 2016, Danielle returned to the farm. After the Farm, they met up at a Keith Urban concert, and Stephen went out in Philly afterwards with Danielle and her friends. Stephen then left his keys in Danielle’s car “by accident” and had to go back the next day to get them. Danielle still believes this was an attempt to see each other again.

On November 11, 2016, Danielle and Stephen went on their first date in Philadelphia at Stella Rosa for dinner and then drinks at SkyGarten, a beer garden atop one of Philly’s skyscrapers. They have been inseparable ever since, with Danielle even convincing Stephen to move to New Jersey.

On June 5, 2021, Stephen asked Danielle to marry him by proposing to her at their favorite beach spot in Stone Harbor, NJ. They then spent the entire week on vacation together in Cape May, NJ to celebrate their engagement, a week they will never forget. Now they cannot wait for another night to remember when they get married a day after their six-year anniversary - November 12, 2022!
