South Congress Street

Shop 'til you drop on this iconic spot right outside of downtown Austin. Our favorite places on SoCo are Paper Work, Mi Casa, Jo's Coffee (right next to the "I Love You So Much" sign), and Allen Boots.

Two Step at the Broken Spoke

The Texas Two Step is a partner dance that is easy to learn and helps you boot, scoot, and boogie all night! Go in early to get a quick lesson, and then dance to some country music in this world-famous honkey tonk.

Search for Vinyl at Waterloo Records

In the live music capital of the world, this record shop has it all: vinyl, CDs, and cassette of every genre! Catch Jacob here on a Sunday morning with a coffee in hand.

See the Bats Under the South Congress Bridge

Austin also welcomes the nickname "Bat City" because of the bats who fly under the South Congress Street Bridge. Make it there for sunset and catch these amazing creatures!

Stop and Smell the Bluebonnets at the Ladybird Wildflower Center

March is bluebonnet season here in Texas, and there's no place better to see the massive fields of them than the Ladybird Wildflower Center. Explore the native plants of Texas and get some gorgeous photos amongst the landscape.

This famous BBQ joint is an icon of Texas barbecue. You cannot go wrong here! Enjoy a chopped beef sandwich, mac and cheese, and be sure to grab a banana pudding on your way out.
