Matt and Danielle officially met in early 2019 as they both lived in Linden Hall at Iowa State University. Through the few months following, they began to know each other better and officially started dating on April 27th, 2019. Danielle was in her pre-design program, while Matt was busy with his Kinesiology degree and ROTC. The first few dates consisted of Matt walking Danielle to the library and helping her with abstract art projects.

From there, they learned that they have been missing each other slightly throughout most of their lives. Matt and Danielle's sister, Kathryn, went to school together from Pre-K through High School. Matt started swimming competitively the year after Danielle quit! The best of all, Matts brother, Andy, was in the same friend group as Danielle's little sister, Claire. Claire's best friend just happens to be Mrs. Ashlynn Bruder, Andy's wife.

After 5 years and many stories and adventures to tell, Matt proposed to Danielle at White Sands National Park on their 5 year anniversary.

They couldn't be happier to start their lives together with the help of family and friends! Cheers as the best is yet to come! They are so excited for everyone to come celebrate with them!
