Danielle and Luke met on December 31, 2021 at a mutual friends New Years Eve party. They struck up a casual conversation but Luke unsurprisingly called it a night before the clock struck midnight.

Curious, Danielle asked their mutual friend about Luke, who was thrilled and went on about how great of a person he is. She told him to reach out to Luke and give him her phone number. At the stroke of midnight, Luke texted Danielle saying "Happy New Years".

They spoke for a few days via text until Luke finally asked Danielle out on a date.

On January 6th, 2022 Luke and Danielle went on their first date at Uptown Deli and Brew in Westerville and the rest was history.

On April 8th, 2024, during the totality of the solar eclipse, Luke proposed, asking Danielle if she wanted to "do this again with him in 30 years" a nod to the next total solar eclipse that will be visible in Ohio.
