Both of us had given up on love, finding that one person who completes you. Had anyone told us in 2013 that we would be walking down the aisle in 4 years, we would have laughed until we were blue in the face. Vin was still in the academy for Blue Island. I was at St. Xavier studying pre-med biology and philosophy. My personal trainer, Alen, who became a good friend of mine, turned out to be Vin's best friend. Alen's birthday was coming up and my friends and I decided we would attend the event. There, I was introduced to Vin. After the party we hung out every day and surprisingly never grew tired of each other. By the end of the first week, we knew we wanted to date each other. By the end of week 3, we knew we loved each other. After a month, we knew we wanted to marry each other. We've survived everything life has thrown at us and have grown stronger together as a team. In less than a year, we will be Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez (with an MD/DO title to follow!). To each other, we are home. We cannot wait to celebrate our promise to honor God and begin our marriage with our family and friends!
