Once upon a time(in summer of 2014), we were both out with friends at our hometown bar, the Vernon Inn. Going to high school together and sharing a few mutual friends had us somewhat familiar with each other, but we had never conversed one on one until that night. Drinks were shared and a very memorable game of darts was played, Danielle won for the first and last time to date. The next day, Derek asked for an official dinner date. We got sushi in Warwick NY, and 5 hours went by like 5 minutes. We dated over the next few months, but Derek lived in Boston, long distance was hard, and life had other plans for us. After many years apart, fate intertwined our paths once again. In 2021, we reconnected and we’ve been together since. For most of you reading this, you know life has been quite a whirlwind for us the past few years. Most notably, we welcomed our beautiful daughter Lily into the world. Even with the stress of becoming parents, we can honestly say it’s been a joy navigating this journey together. Derek popped the question on a beach in Oregon in September of 2023 with a very special family ring passed down by his mother. Now, here we are counting down to celebrate our big day!
