We met over 2 and a half years ago on Match.com! After chatting for a couple weeks, we decided to meet and have our first date at Pure Imagination Café! We were there for four hours and were kicked out at closing time. It was then that we both secretly told ourselves we would someday marry the other🥰
Fast forward seven months, we made the decision to move in together. Even during some tough life moments, we learned how to communicate effectively, support each other and be each others' number one cheerleader. 
During this time, we enjoyed going to Buffalo Bills games, kayaking on the lake, going on late night adventures to Taco Bell, and just overall enjoying each others' company. We also learned how to co exist as an introvert and an extrovert in the same household. Matt learned that some quiet nights in were needed. Dani learned that going out with large groups of people were necessary too. 
On September 23rd, 2023 Dani recieved a call from Matt while she was in Marshalls. On this day, Matt took his residents to Honeoye Lake in the morning. When he called Dani, he was frantic that he lost his Apple Watch by the lake. He asked Dani if she would come help him look for the watch. It is important to note that Dani was not supposed to be in town this weekend because she was supposed to on a trip that was rained out. Dani was also with her best friend during this time and little did Dani know, Shannon was in on the entire story. 
So Dani leaves Pittsford with Shannon and drives an hour to the lake to help Matt find his watch. When they get there, she asked Matt for his phone and he just walked the other way. Dani started to look on the ground where Matt thought he lost his watch and then Dani heard the song I Can't Wait for You to be My Wife. She then saw Matt near a tree down on one knee. Dani responds with That's not your Apple Watch as he is holding a ring. He also has little candles and letters spelled on the sand saying Marry Me?. Of course Dani said yes! (Side note: he never lost his watch). The reason for Matt picking this lake was because this is where we had our first vacation together. After we had a moment to celebrate the fact we were engaged at the lake, Matt was hungry. Shannon, Matt and Dani decided to go to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate the engagement! 
From this point forward, we have been loving this new chapter of our life. We have been wedding planning, looking into houses and appreciating the life we are starting together.
