Our Wedding

It all started thanks to a little matchmaking from Danika’s cousin Abbie and her husband Trent — who just happened to be Cole’s college roommate. They probably didn’t realize they were setting up a future wedding story, but here we are! When we first met, I wasn’t totally sure how my family would handle the fact that Cole is a Husker fan (a serious offense in some circles). But somehow, between the team rivalry and a few laughs, I knew he was the right one.  Cole, on the other hand, was just hoping he wouldn’t literally mess things up — he had food poisoning during our first meeting and was trying to play it cool. (Spoiler alert: he survived, and still managed to make a great impression.)  We officially started dating on September 7th, 2023, and it didn’t take long before we became inseparable — whether we’re on the golf course, cheering against each other during football season, or at home with our cat, Morgan, running the show. Fast forward to the proposal — Cole decided to pop the question during an escape room. I was completely over it, frustrated and ready to leave, when suddenly there it was… not just a clue, but a ring. Safe to say, that’s one puzzle we actually solved together!  From that awkward first meet to now planning our forever, it’s been the best kind of adventure — full of laughter, love, and just the right amount of friendly rivalry.

DUE TO IT BEING FAIR WEEK, HOTELS WERE NOT BLOCKING ROOMS WE WERE ABLE TO GET ONE HOWEVER, THERE ARE TWO OTHER HOTELS IN LEMARS IOWA. IF YOU ARE OK WITH DRIVING 30 MINUTES YOU CAN EITHER PICK THE SIOUX CENTER HOTEL OR THE SIOUX CITY HOTEL.
