Things To Do The Weekend Of The Wedding

Picture of Things To Do The Weekend Of The Wedding

We are so excited to welcome you to our Special Day!

After the wedding, Saturday Night, we have 3 Sections at the Cielo Rooftop (Cambria Hotel) This starts from when we leave the reception until 1:00 AM! It’s a marathon so have enough juice/energy to make it the whole evening!

On Sunday for those who are still in town and are interested we are considering renting boats and going out on Lake St. Clair! If this is something up your alley bring a towel and your trunks!

Please see note here:
Since the Reception Dinner is invite only we want to give everyone a few options to choose from. This is also a list for other meals during your Detroit stay.

Danny and Trevia’s Detroit Restaurant and Neighborhood recommendations:

A word to the reader: this list is not at all a “Best of Detroit”, rather it is a compiled list of places that I or Trevia love to eat at or take people to. When thinking about your dining experience, My motto is “a little bit and often”. In my opinion the best way is to check out a restaurant, have a cocktail an appetizer or maybe even split an entree with your lover or friend. Then hit the next spot and do it again! You’ll be able to enjoy more variety and see more of what the city has to offer. For me, I like an esthetic restaurant but nothing is more important than good food. That is what is prioritized here. Eat your heart out!

No frills/Detroit Classics/Cheap Eats:

A) Bucharest grill- @bucharest_grill
They have the best chicken Schwarma sandwiches in the city. The chicken Schwarma salad will smack you in the mouth every time. Ask for every lettuce, pita chips on the side, and extra dressing. Locations are all throughout the city.

B) Green dot stables- @greendotstables
They have “white castle” sized gourmet sliders. Order 4+ and get two orders of truffle fries. I always get the mystery meat which changes weekly. This is located in the historic CorkTown Neighborhood

C) Floods- @floodsdetroit
This is going to feel like a party when you walk in. The DJ is always live. The food is bomb every time. Drinks are solid. Later in the evenings it’s a cover charge but it’s worth the price of admission. If you want to feel Detroit vibes this is a good option. This is located in downtown Detroit.
