Our Wedding

Danny and Nicola met in 2018 and immediately bonded over their love of Bolton Wanderers, and the fact that they were both travelling to Queens Park Rangers in the morning! Though the 'away days' have continued, they have been lucky enough to visit some fabulous places across the world in the past 7 years. From the UAE to the Philippines and from Thailand to various cities across Europe, they have loved their travels and the memories made. One place they have fallen in love with more than others is Crete, so where better to tie the knot?! Through two years of long distance, new jobs, countless adventures and buying their first home - these two have always been by each other's side. Nicola couldn't have been happier to say 'yes' after a trip to their favourite restaurant by the Dubai Marina! They cannot wait to begin the next chapter of their life together, and are so excited to celebrate with family and friends on the 31st July, 2025.

Hi everyone, We have been looking out for where may be good to stay for our wedding next year. There are lots of options in Koutouloufari - so please be sure to have a browse! The wedding is 31st July 2025 and we can't wait to share our special day with you! We will be staying at Marni Village. There are lots of options here (villas, suites and apartments) though there are certainly more budget friendly options available just a short walking distance away. We have previously stayed at Dream Village (booked as a package deal with Jet 2), Villa Elite (booked via Booking.com) and Driades Apartments (booked via Love Holidays and is actually located in the next village called Piskopiano, just a 10 minute walk away). All have a pool and are clean and friendly. Dream Village has had a recent refurbishment too! There are lots of options throughout Koutouloufari and though we haven't stayed at any other hotels, feel free to send over a quick message if you'd like to check your accommodation with us. You could walk through the gorgeous village of Koutouloufari in around 10 minutes so we won't be too far apart wherever you choose! Staying in Piskopiano is also a viable option if you see anything you like here. Another option is staying in Hersonissos which is more lively and just a 5 minute drive down the (albeit steep!) hill. Hersonissos is by the beach and there are many more accommodation options here. You should fly into Heraklion, Crete. Jet2 holidays, TUI and Love Holidays all offer package deals, though one year we found it cheaper to book flights and accommodation separately. If booking separately, flights should be available to book by around July 2024. We will be getting married a 15 minute drive away from Koutouloufari and the venue is called Ktima Emmeleia. Please arrive in a taxi - your hotel will be more than happy to assist with this.&nbsp; We have booked our flights and will be flying out with Jet2 on Friday 25th July (06:15) and returning on Tuesday 5th August (13:10). If you would like to and are able to - please join us! However please book flights to suit your schedule. Travel

Koutouloufari is a beautiful village, full of gorgeous tavernas and bars. Though we usually spend most of our time sunbathing by the pool, there are certainly other things to do! Take a walk through Piskopiano into Old Hersonissos to experience an even quieter part of Crete or walk down the hill into Hersonissos for a more lively atmosphere. Here you will find beach clubs, more restaurants and places to sunbathe on the beach. Stalis is a short taxi ride away and has arguably nicer, more spacious beaches. We have previously booked a day trip through <a href="https://orange-travel.gr/our-tours/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://orange-travel.gr/our-tours/</a>. Orange Travel have a shop in Koutouloufari and you shouldn't need to book any tours before coming to Crete.
