Our Story

From Dropping The "Not" to Tying The Knot

photo

Danny and Liz met by fate- it must have been because who else has the patience to stalk someone for a year before meeting them and then only being friends for 10 months?

Danny was on the news in April 2015 which was shared on

Facebook by a mutual friend; Liz just happened to see it. She commented on the

video simply because she was impressed by the bravery of Danny admitting that

he is transgender to the world. Liz had no idea that her one comment would

change the course of both of their lives. Danny not only responded to her

comment but granted her Facebook friend request. Danny was embarking on his

365-day journey of dating himself at the time, and Liz dutifully followed his

every post while remaining quietly in the background until a photoshoot opportunity

came around.

That photoshoot in December 2015 was their first in-person

meeting, and it was so much fun for both of them. That photoshoot led to a

beautiful 10 months of friendship that surpassed anything either had ever

experienced. Everyone could tell that they were close which led many to ask if

the two were dating. Liz would light up every time someone assumed she was

Danny’s girlfriend until Danny quickly corrected them saying she was his “not

girlfriend”. Poor Liz.

Friendship, love, and admiration continued to grow with

every adventure they took. Danny’s 28th birthday trip to Talkeetna opened

Danny’s eyes and heart to realize he had deeper feelings than just friendship

for Liz. She was so selfless, loving, and caring while never expecting anything

from him. August and September brought even more adventures that gave deep

insight into themselves and each other while providing plenty of inside jokes

such as Liz’s attempts on Danny’s life. It’s a good thing he is cute and

adorable.

One adventure on the last day of September is what changed

their lives once again: multiple rounds of bowling (Liz kicked Danny’s butt), a

bonfire with friends as the summer’s last Spenardy Party, and snuggles while

watching TV were the last moments of Liz being Danny’s “not girlfriend”. Laying

there snuggling, Danny sat up then turned to look at Liz. “How would you feel

about dropping the “not”?

Through the years their love has grown as they have

learned to work together and become the best of friends. Liz has supported

Danny through graduate school which has been a huge investment in her own

therapy; Danny has blessed Liz with the presence of his cute butt; they have

supported each other through surgeries, mental breakdowns, holidays, family get

togethers, funerals, weddings, job losses, home repairs, school struggles,

sobriety, quitting smoking, weight loss & weight gain, and many other life

adventures. It doesn’t seem to matter what the adventure is as long as they are

together.

Now they are ready to tackle the greatest adventure of all

– committing their lives to each other: for better or worse, through thick and

thin, through gains and losses, for richer or poorer, for this life and the

next; we are please to announce the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Danny & Liz

Earll.
