After many long years of searching for my soulmate, yes, it finally happened on April 2, 2021
a few weeks prior, I had joined a single dating site in the Philippines. I had researched a little about the woman from the Philippines, and found out they are loyal, loving, and family oriented, just like I am. I even have a neighbor who met his wife the same way. so, on this day April 2, 2021, while browsing through the many profiles, I found a girl that I was attracted too, and liked what she had to say in her profile. So, I sent her a message, and not too long later, she replied.
Her name is Perlita, and she also liked my pictures and profile. we were so happy,
So, after more than 13 months of video chatting on WhatsApp, only missing 4 days where we didn't talk, the Philippines opened up for foreign tourists. The Philippines had been totally closed during Covid. I finally got a flight on May 30, 2022 and i stayed until June 6, 2022. During our time together we did many things including a video call to her Dad, who lived on another island. Perlita's niece, Irene, did all the translating. I also treated Perlita to a manicure, hair style, and make up in a Salon that was inside the Mall behind the Hotel we were staying at. That was the first time Perlita was ever in a Salon. We also invited Perlita's sister, her husband, and their two young kids for a day at the Hotel. We started the day with a great Buffet Breakfast, and after, we all had a wonderful time at the Hotel's Waterpark. The kids loved it, and it was their first time in a pool.
The Highlight of the trip happened on June 2nd at 01:10 AM, when I asked Perlita to marry me. Not Official- No Ring. She said Yes, that was Official.
My second trip to the Philippines, to see Perlita was on July 10, 2023, and this time I stayed two weeks.
The first week was to a vacation island resort, Coron Island. We stayed at the Two Seasons Resort Hotel, just a short boat ride from Coron Island. Our Bungalow was 20 feet from the beach. The View from our back patio was breathtaking. One of the days, we went on an Island Tour, which included walking up a Mountain. That walk was a little tedious. The Views from the top were so beautiful. The Tour also included a nice lunch by the water. Perlita and I really had a great time.
The second week we flew back from our Island getaway to Manila, and then took another flight, from Manila to Tacloban, near where Perlita's Dad lives. We had planned our Engagement Party at her dad's house, so I invited Perlita's brother, and two sisters with their spouses, and kids to fly with us. The day of the Party July 18, 2023, I handed out yellow Souvenir shirts to all the adults, and white ones for the kids. Perlita and I had black ones.
The Catering Co. did a great job setting up the beautiful backdrop display, where Perlita and I would sit. So in front of everyone, I asked Perlita's Dad permission to marry his daughter Perlita. Perlita's niece did all the translating.
Perlita had no idea that I was giving her a ring. It was hidden the entire week at the resort.
So, in front of everyone, I got on one Knee and asked Perlita again to marry me. This time it was Official. She was very surprised when I put the Ring on her finger, and I am sure I saw her wipe away a few tears. It really was great sharing these special moments with Perlita's Dad, and her Family.
We left her dad's house on July 20th and flew back to Manila after saying our goodbyes to everyone. We stayed at Perlita's apartment until the 23rd, the day of my flight back to Houston. On the way to the Airport, we stopped at a McDonalds, and had Breakfast and Coffee. So sorry to see the trip end, it was truly wonderful.
We were also doing the K1 Visa Process, which we just finished.
If you go on Youtube, and type: Great Moments Between Us, you can see many pictures, and some are already on this site.
