Our Wedding

On April 27, 2018 stars aligned and destiny was formed for Dante and Gianluca. Dante had been living in The Bahamas at the time and Gian was thousands of miles away on vacation with his family in Brazil. On that fateful Friday, Dante impulsively flew to Vancouver for a music program and moved into a tiny apartment shared between 4 roommates, all of whom were strangers. Aurelia, who had shown Dante the apartment on Facetime explained upon arrival “so its me, Eduardo, Guilherme and Gianluca, but Gian isn't here yet- he arrives on the 3rd”. After getting acquainted, Dante checked out her bedroom which in fact was not a bedroom at all and instead looked a lot like the cupboard under the stairs from Harry Potter. Unable to sleep, Dante quietly crept in the night into an abandoned room thinking to herself “I'm sure this Gianluca boy won't mind me sleeping in his bed. I'll make sure to clean the sheets and everything!” Dante slept in his bed for an entire week not knowing that the boy who owned this room would one day be her future husband!   Gianluca finally arrives at the apartment and a welcome back barbecue was organized on the balcony. Gian and Dante shook hands and dabbled in small talk. She caught him glancing over several times throughout the intimate party which made her blush. Dante was intrigued by this new roommate that everyone spoke so highly of. He was kind and charming but what she noticed most was his incredible sense of humor. At times she had to stop herself from over laughing as to not draw too much attention. Over the course of a few weeks, Gian and Dante got to know each other pretty well and even hung out a few times outside the apartment walls.   One evening, Dante had friends over at the apartment and they were all drinking before a fun night out at the club. Gianluca was on her mind and the more she drank, the more she thought of him. Every 5 minutes, she'd knock on his bedroom door and waltz in asking “what you doinggggg?”. On the 4th time, Gian looked into her eyes, pushed her onto his bed and kissed her. They stayed in that same position for a full minute, looking at each other's faces closely and then she asked come out with us tonight?. He had insisted on staying home and studying so by the fourth push, Dante gave up and left for the night.   The next morning, Gian woke up with a smile and was eager to see Dante making her usual coffee at 8am. However, when he got to the kitchen, she was not there. In fact, for the entire week, he barely saw her and at that very moment he suddenly realized that she had been avoiding him. When Friday finally approached, Gian confidently knocked on her closet door asking to talk. The look of innocence and desperation in his eyes made Dante feel somewhat comfortable and safe. She followed him into his bedroom where they could speak privately. Gian sat her on his bed and began to apologize although deep down they both knew he had done nothing wrong. They spoke for over 3 hours diving into deep conversations about life, culture and family. As the chatting came to an end, he walked Dante to the door showing her the way out. As they parted ways, they felt an undeniable sense of fondness for each-other that was never there before. Dante walked slowly back to her room and thought to herself “I wish it were just him and I in this apartment..”   On June 3rd, Gian and Dante decided to go out bar hopping with friends in Gastown, a place she had never been before. The streets were new to her and as she drank, the more she wondered around in awe of Vancouver. Suddenly, she found herself in line to a random club with no one she knew around. Frantically, she searched left and right but there was no sign of her friends. Drunk and frightened, Dante called Gian on his cell begging for him to come find her. Nearly 5 minutes later, Gian touches her on the shoulder. When she turned around, she saw that same innocent look in his eyes that she had seen once before and she immediately knew she was safe. Dante jumped into his arms, kissing him and repetitively whispering close to his ear you “saved me.. you saved me.”   The two have never been separated since..   The end.

Our Story

GRAN VILLA ROSA Gran Villa Rosa is a spectacular villa near Sitges in Barcelona, 25 minutes from the international Airport of Barcelona. Built in 1496 as a wine castle, Gran Villa Rosa has been restored and renovated with top-shelf luxury amenities, while maintaining an antique and majestic ambiance. The castle have 20 large ensuite rooms with 45 beds. Maid service, gardener and pool service is included, and they provide services like a private chef, transportation and entertainment. Gran Villa Rosa offers a wide selection of activities. In addition to the swimming pool and tennis court, they offer a variety of sports activities on the lawn.They have cooking classes and wine tasting. If you are into meditation, we recommend the yoga classes. Outside the property there are golf courses, horseback riding, boat trips, fishing end endless opportunities for hiking and biking.

*PLEASE MAKE NOTE* We are staying at the Gran Villa Rosa and would love if you could also stay with us at the estate. If you do wish to make a reservation here, please let us know so we can arrange it on your behalf. Minimum 2 guests per room is required. We managed to make a great deal with the following 2 options: 1. 500€ per person to stay in the MAIN VILLA for the entirety of your stay (3 nights)2. 300€ per person to stay in the SIDE VILLAS for the entirety of your stay (3 nights) These rates include full breakfast, lunch, dinner, unlimited open cocktail bar and shuttle services from airport to hotel.

TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION 1. Free shuttle service from airport to hotel for those staying at Gran Villa Rosa!2. A 25 minute drive from the airport.3. Those who are not staying at our hotel, please find other accommodations for transportation
