It all began at the Sergeant Major Academy in El Paso, Texas, where two ambitious hearts crossed paths. From the very first moment, it felt like love at first sight. What started as a shared passion for learning and leadership soon turned into something deeper. Countless late-night study sessions filled with laughter, endless conversations, and an undeniable connection that grew stronger with time.As we navigated the challenges of academia together, we discovered not only a love for our studies but a love for each other. Whether it was exploring El Paso, traveling, supporting each other through demanding coursework, or simply sharing quiet moments in the library, every experience became more meaningful because we shared it.Fast forward to today, our journey has brought us here—to a love that continues to grow with each passing day. We are beyond excited to celebrate this next chapter and to share our special day with all of you, the people who have been part of our story.

Our Story

Our engagement was truly a magical moment, surrounded by family as we celebrated my mothers-in-law birthday and mine. He surprised me with a guessing game, building excitement for the question. As I pieced together the clues, my heart raced. When I figured it out, he got down on one knee and shared an incredible story about Job, emphasizing faith and perseverance. Then, with the perfect ring which came from above, literally from above! He asked me to be his forever. It was a beautiful moment filled with love, laughter, and joy, marking the beginning of our journey toward this special day.

Our Engagement 

Nikki is one of my besties and if I’m being honest, she’s a wilder version of me! Always the life of the party, she finds every way to turn a good time into a great time. Caring, fun, loving, and retired like me, I’m so grateful to have her as our hostess because ain't no party without Nikki G!

Nikki Glanton

Jackie is my Army sister through and through. After 27 years of dedicated service, she recently retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3, but her impact goes far beyond her rank. From day one, she has been my mentor, motivator, role model, and most importantly my sister. Her unwavering support and guidance have meant the world to me, and I couldn’t imagine this special day without her by my side.

Ashley may be Isaac’s sister-in-law, but to me, she’s my sister. She is the kindest, most caring, and loving person I know. She’s always there with a listening ear, a warm heart, and, of course, a glass of wine when needed! I couldn’t imagine this day without her standing by my side.

Daphcar is my baby sister... well, technically, she's my Irish twin. She’s not just my sister; she’s my person! An amazing wife and mother, she fills every room with warmth and love. Always there for me with unconditional love, I’m incredibly grateful to have her by my side on this special day.

Doreen is my baby sister and my go-to person for anything English translation related. Full of life and overflowing with love for her family, she's an amazing wife, mother, and mentor to many young college students. I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this special day!

Doreen Gaines

Nancy and I didn’t start off great because she was an E5 Drill Sergeant when I was a 1SG, and let’s just say I wasn’t a fan at first. But little did I know, she would become one of the best Soldiers I’ve ever had the privilege of serving with.
Beyond that, Nancy is an incredible mother, a strong and passionate leader, and believe it or not one of the best drivers I know! (Yes, really—smile.) I’m honored to have her standing by my side on this special day.

Nichole was technically Isaac’s friend first, they were classmates. But let’s be real: I am way cooler than my future husband because Nichole became one of my best friends, my praying partner, my confidant, and my brunch love crew. I’m beyond grateful for her friendship and thrilled to have her by my side on this special day!

Nichole Peters 

Jasmine and I met at the Sergeant Major Academy, and from the moment I met her, I knew she was destined to be my Army bestie especially since we were complete opposites! She's smart, caring, a total workaholic, and an introvert extraordinaire. I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this special day.

Jasmine Young 

Alex and I have been friends and truly family since 2016. Once known as the "meanest Drill Sergeant" (long story, lol), she’s shown me a whole new side of loyalty and warmth. She’s been by my side through every challenge, always there for me and my family, with support that is truly beyond words. I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side on this special day!

Alexandria Camunas 

Jocelyn and I first met in South Korea back in 2002 as young Soldiers, and from the very beginning, she became such an important part of my life. It was my first duty station, and her friendship came at exactly the right time. Over the years, we’ve shared countless memories, having been stationed together through almost our entire military careers. Fittingly, she was also by my side at my final duty station, where we both retired. Jocelyn proudly served 23 years in the military, and beyond her service, she is an incredible mother, a loyal friend, my #1 supporter, and one of the funniest and most loving people I know. I’m truly honored to have her standing by me on my special day.

Jocelyn Cuevas

Demetrick, a.k.a. D.C. My best man, best friend, and brother from another mother.  He has been in the family since High School. Originally my brother’s, Everett, best friend, who would grow to be mine. Our friendship started on the football team and developed to a brotherhood as we enlisted into the Army on the buddy program. He has been a loyal and true friend who has been looking out for me since High School and has had a significant impact on my life. I almost ruined our brotherhood when I made him stand at parade rest. Some people just can’t take a joke. 

Demetrick Carter

Josh is my little brother but he is also my best friend and trusted advisor. He is always there for me especially providing straight forward and honest advice. Josh is an extroverted comedian who makes me proud daily. He dislikes hairlines, wooden baseball bats, and losing in video games. I can talk about my brother forever but that would take the fun out of you getting to know him. 

Joshua Cummings

Darryl a.k.a. D, Griff, or Donita, lol. We first met in Korea in 2004 through sports/weightlifting and we have been brothers ever since. His Baltimore accent and stories of meeting Kelly Rowland will have you rollin. Over 20 years of brotherhood, there are so many stories to tell but MI professionals can’t tell all. We don’t talk every day but from Korea, AZ, GA, and retirement, you been A1 from day 1. 

Darryl Griffin

Everyone meet Korie, he is my first cousin and we were born a month apart. As kids, we were always getting into some kind of trouble. Despite relocating to the “A”, the shenanigans continued whether in the “A” or N.O. My cuzzo is an extremely successful businessman/work-a-holic but can be found on the golf course with stogie and Tito’s. His golf game is fading like his hairline so don’t let the pic fool you. If you ever see him sticking his tongue out like Jordan, just know he means business. 

Korie Jackson

Ray a.k.a. Goolie Goo or lil Tyrone! My cousin is an extroverted, instigating, former comedian. This former seaman lives a lavish lifestyle and is mostly known for his stylish clothes, palate, and eyebrows. He also claims to be the best athlete in the family despite lacking evidence to the contrary. If graced with his presence, buckle up and get your popcorn ready because you will witness or be part of the puppet masters show. 

Raymond Smith

Michael a.k.a. Mike, I have known since 2000. We met in AIT in AZ but really became good friends in Korea 2004. We played on multiple championship teams and kept in touch throughout the years. Mike is an extroverted, athletic, successful businessman, and a real comedian. He will have you laughing your socks off. Above all else, he joined my small circle of trust/brotherhood and I’m grateful we crossed paths. PA’L CAYAO!

Michael Blakeslee

Jamaal a.k.a. maal. We have known one another since we were kids. Our families grew up in the same neighborhood essentially, we went to the same schools (SJA and EJ), rode my uncle’s school bus, and our families knew each other. We have been separated by life event since we were kids, but we always reconnected and supported one another throughout the years. I’m grateful to have you as a friend and brother. 

Jamaal Gilbert

Everett, my older brother a.k.a. Eazy E. We are 18 months apart and grew up competing in all things. We graduated from youthful competitions to pushing one another to be better men. He is known for his beard, skills on the pool table, and being a die hard Saints fan. Where he spent most of his years supporting them wearing a brown paper bag out of shame. He is also a successful business owner with an extremely outgoing personality. As you get to know him, you will see why I am proud to have him as a big brother. 

Everett Jackson

Ricardo a.k.a. Rick. Of all the groomsman, I have known Rick for the least amount of time but it didn’t feel like it. We first met in GA when we found out that we would be a CMD TM for the Army’s newest formation. He started out as my boss, transitioned to my friend, and became a brother. Behind his professional exterior, Rick is hilarious, down to earth, and would fight an officer in the parking lot if it came down to it lol!

Ricardo Henry

Ariyah, our wonderful middle child, is honored to be our flower girl. She is beautiful, smart, strong, and kind-hearted. An A/B student with a love for learning, she always goes out of her way to help others. Her caring nature and bright spirit make her the perfect addition to our special day, and we can’t wait to see her sprinkle a little extra joy down the aisle!

Ariyah Thomas

Emany is the baby of our beautiful blended family, bringing endless joy and laughter to our lives. She is incredibly smart, a little bit mischievous, and always ready to take charge! An A/B student with a love for reading, she keeps us all on our toes with her curiosity and adventurous spirit. We can’t wait to see her shine as she helps lead the way down the aisle on our special day!

After the Bride, the flower girl and ring bearer steals everyone’s heart. This young king is my youngest nephew. I am honored to have him as part of our ceremony. Can you guess who his father is? You have a 50% chance of getting it right. If you’re wrong, you will be denied entry LOL!
