James and Daphne met while attending the University of Idaho in 2019 at a bonfire, where according to James he fell for Daphne right away. The two talked a few times but didn’t really start getting to know one another until that summer, after James responded to one of Daphne’s instagram stories. At some point Daphne asked her mom and a few friends if they thought the heart eyes emoji meant James liked her, causing them all to laugh and say he definitely liked her. 






As the fall semester started the two began hanging out in person as friends, sharing stories about their childhoods and their hopes for the future, until there was no more denying their feelings for one another. James asked Daphne to be his girlfriend on September 21st, 2019 meaning their wedding day will mark 5 years together as a couple. 


Together over the years Daphne and James have been able to attend formals, celebrate graduations and birthdays, make memories traveling, and adopt two cats, Milo and Huey.


Now, after nearly 5 years together James and Daphne can’t wait to tie the knot and start their happily ever after!
