We Met..

We met a few years back at a bachelorette party. Adam was one of two boat drivers. Darci avoided Adam's boat on the way to the destination Because he was this cute young guy. On the way back Angie Adams sister said that everyone had to switch boats. So needless to say Darci had to ride home on Adams boat. During that ride Darci and Adam talked and laughed and become friends. It was several years later that Adam and Darci came into contact again. At that time Adam and Darci shared and compared stories on running (Really we used to run). A few weeks had passed and Adam asked Darci if she wanted to have dinner. Darci said yes and the rest is history.

The Proposal...

Adam and Darci discussed getting married or not. Adam was much more open to the idea than Darci was at the time. (Now Darci can hardly wait to become Adam's wife). Darci decided accepting a ring followed by a long engagement would probably be ok.. It was a few weeks later and the ring was purchased.

October 13, Columbus Day Adam was off work as a holiday. Adam promised Cali, Lexi, and Ivy pancakes for breakfast before school. Breakfast time came. Adam was cooking pancakes for the girls. All three of the girls were sitting at the counter waiting for pancakes. Adam served up pancakes and left the room. Darci was doing dishes and had her back to the girls and the counter. Darci turned around to make sure the girls had what they needed to finish up breakfast, there was Adam on one knee with the ring. Darci stood at the kitchen sink looking at Adam as he was asking the question, looking at the girls at the counter with dumbfounded looks. Darci said yes and quickly excused herself to the bathroom to compose her tears. The idea of a long engagement turned into getting married within the same year. Here we are.
