Our Wedding

Chris and I met in high school in science class, as soon as I saw him I knew he was the one I was going to be with for the rest of my life. I asked him out grade 9 with no luck, until finally half way through grade 10 this man finally notices me and I was so happy he did but I couldn't let him just ask me out and let be the end so I ended up making him wait and every day for a full week of him asking me out till I finally said yes. We have been together ever since, 8 years later here we are about to get married. I can't believe I get to marry my best friend, someone who makes me so happy I find it hard to believe some days. He sees me for me and we make each other better people. We can't wait to see where life takes us and what it has in store!

How we met 

Our Story

Mill Run Golf Course

Our ceremony is being held in the beautiful garden area over looking the pond followed by a cocktail hour in the garden and photos. The address for Mill Run Golf Course is 269 Durham Rd 8, Uxbridge.

Sunderland Legion 

The reception will be held at the Sunderland legion. Join us for dinner and dancing the night away!!! Can't wait to see you all there! The address for the legion is 104 River St, Sunderland.

Our beautiful engagement photos were taken by Chris sister Ali. They turned out amazing and we couldn’t be happier with them and more grateful to her and Bailey for putting up with us for the day. Our photos were taken in Beaverton at an old church that is no longer open.

Ali is Chris's younger sister, she's full of energy when she wants to be, can be loud and out spoken in the best way and has been there for me over these past few years. We didn't always get along as well as we do now because she was and still is so protective of Chris but I am so glad we have gotten close and developed a sister like bond. I think she has finally relaxed around me a little because she keeps asking if I'm sure I want to marry Chris and I always say Yes he's good for a good laugh lol but in all seriousness I really do love him and I can't imagine what life would be like without him. Chris and Ali share a almost twin like bond, they finish each others sentences and know what the other is thinking or feeling most of the time anyway. 

Alissondra 

Jordie is my best friend from high school I don't really remember how we met but I do know that through all the ups and down life has thrown at us we have stayed friends. I can't imagine my life without her, she's funny and kind and doesn't care what people think. Chris and Jordan have been friends since highschool and met through the group of friends we had. Over the past few years we have been able to be there for each other through everything life and the world has thrown at us

Jordan (Jordie)

Amanda is my oldest sister and we have grown up together quite literally as there is about a 16yr age difference. It has been fun and challenging in terms of not always getting to see her as often as either one of us would have liked when I was little because she lived in Toronto and over the past few years because of the state of the world however despite all that we are really close. She's fun and funny, kind hearted and determined I couldn't imagine a better big sister.

Amanda 

Chris' best friend and my friend from high school, we were all on the chess club together. He has stayed friends with us all these years, put up with Chris while at work (they worked together) I think he's only stuck around us this long because of Ali and the fact that he is now related to Chris (Bailey married his best friends little sister, I know!) He is a great guy who cares about the people he loves, works very hard and is fun to be around. 

Bailey 

Chris' grandpa and who is one of the funniest people we know, he likes to pull everyone's leg and give them a good laugh. he can be serious when it is needed. He helped my sister and I experience new and exciting adventures as we grew up and has been there for us for our band concerts and graduations.

Tom (Grandpa)

Chris' dad although a stepdad is more of a father figure then my birth father. he's been a big role model to me in more ways then one, especially being accident prone lol. He spent a lot of his time with sis and i as we grew up from playing ball with us in the summer to throwing snowballs at us in the winter.

Mike 

My mom is the greatest role model I ever could have asked for. She has shown me time and time again how to get up after you fall and to keep pushing to chase your dreams. She pours love and kindness into everything she does and everyone she meets. She has taught me a lot about life and about myself I couldn't be more proud to call her my mom. She has stood by me through my years of college pouring herself into my textbooks just to try and help me you will never find another person like her.

Tereasa

My dad is one of the greatest, hard working determined and driven people I know. He gives everything he has to those he loves. He never stops and always work hard but still makes time for those he loves and will do anything to help those around him. He is my greatest hero and has shown me what a great role model is. He taught me how to build, fix anything, do anything and be anything I want to be. I am truly very proud to call him my dad with all of his and my moms love and support I wouldn't be where I am today without them.

Ma has also been a huge influence on my life, she was a single mother looking after sis and I till she found dad, but she showed us that to be strong and independent person and to look out for ourselves. She's been there for us through thick and thin and has helped us overcome many problems, especially stupid math, ugh. She's the person you always want on your side when the going gets tough or when someone needs a butt whopping (aka future grandkids).

Wedding Party

Jesse 

Jesse was our friend from high school and Chris' best friend. We enjoyed playing chess together and Jesse and Chris were in robotics together. We spent most of our lunches hanging around laughing in the cafeteria. When you couldn't find Chris you just had to look for Jesse and he wasn't hard to miss being very tall and all. He would stick up for you even if he knew you were in the wrong, was great to play games with and laugh with. He is deeply missed. Jesse passed away from a seizure due to epilepsy in 2023.

Aunt Dee (Terry)

Aunt Dee was married to my uncle Chris, she was fun and loud and the life of the party. She would have a beer in one hand and her arm around someone else singing and dancing her heart out.

Little Oma (Edith)

Little Oma was my great grandma who came here from Germany during the war. I don't remember much about her but I have heard stories where she would dance the night away with Opa and could drink my uncle under the table any and every chance she got. Little Oma and I along with my sister Chrissy would go to Mcdonald's get some lunch and go sit by the water at least once a week.

Grandpa (Gregory)

Greg was Shari's Dad, he loved a good joke good food and a beer. He was into sports and played many, He died from leukemia while Shari was pregnant with Chris and passed way too soon. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years. He always thought of his friends and family and would do anything to help them whenever they needed him.

Chrissy (Christyna) 

Grandpa (Tom)

Tom was already a grandpa when Chris met him. But he took Chris under his wing and loved him unconditionally. He taught him to fish, camp, and be a boy. When Chris became a teenager dating, Tom was introduced to Darci. He then helped teach Chris how to be a good man. Tom was thrilled to be asked to be a part of the wedding but fate had other plans. Tom's health worsened and took him early. However, he will make sure to be at the wedding, in spirit, to celebrate and see Chris and Darci joined together as one.

Morgyn

Morgyn was 8 when Chris was born. He wasn't sure he wanted to be a big brother. But when he held Chris at the hospital he knew they would be close. Over the years they shared a love of hot wheels cars, video games, and snacks. Even when they fought, a game of catch made everything better. When Morgyn moved to Alberta he made an effort to re-connect with Chris. He was proud of the man Chris had become, when he was asked to be in the wedding, Morgyn started making plans. Nothing was keeping him from being there. However, heartbreaking news of Morgyn's death came and crushed Chris and Darci. But Chris and Darci know he will still be there, in spirit, to celebrate and party with them.
