What is the Filipino Money Dance?
We are thrilled to incorporate a cherished Filipino wedding tradition into our celebration—the Money Dance! This festive custom involves well-wishers, like yourselves, dancing with the newlyweds and pinning money onto their attire as a symbol of love, support, and prosperity for their new life together. Here's how it works:
1. Wait for the MC to announce the Money Dance.
2. Approach the dance floor when invited.
3. Attach your monetary gift securely and dance with the bride or groom! (see link below for an example) If you'd like to join in, feel free to bring cash, but most importantly, we look forward to celebrating with you!
What is the dress code?
As we prepare to celebrate our love in style, we're embracing a black-tie dress code with a splash of color! To help us execute our vision, we kindly ask that you avoid wearing black and instead, dive into our wedding’s color palette [see below]. Think elegant, chic, and vibrant! Fashion is a huge part of the bride's life, so we’re thrilled for you to get creative and bring your most stunning looks to life. Whether it’s a dashing tux or a glamorous gown, we can’t wait to see how you express your unique style while being a part of our unforgettable day. For inspiration, you can visit this link:
How and when should I RSVP?
Thank you so much for your love and excitement as we approach our big day! The RSVP period for our wedding has officially closed, and we are no longer able to accommodate additional guests. We appreciate your understanding as we finalize the details to ensure an unforgettable celebration with those who have confirmed their attendance.
Is there a block of rooms available for guests to book?
Hotel blocks and travel information have been added to the Travel Tab of this website, please visit that page for more details!
Is there a registry?
While your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all, if you’d like to contribute to our new chapter, we’ve created a fund to help us build our dream home.
Instead of traditional gifts, your generosity will help us create a space filled with love, laughter, and memories for years to come.
What hashtag should I use to post on social media?
Help us capture and share the love by using our wedding hashtag: #StarksAtLast
Whether you're snapping pics, sharing heartfelt messages, or posting hilarious dance floor moments, don't forget to include our hashtag. Your unique perspective will add an extra layer of magic to our memories!
What time will the ceremony start?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00AM. Late arrivals may not be able to be accommodated, so please plan your travel and arrival time accordingly to avoid any disappointment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making our ceremony a smooth and timely experience for everyone.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The wedding ceremony and reception will both take place indoors!
What will the weather be like in Charlotte?
We thought it might be helpful to provide a quick weather update for January. Typically, Charlotte experiences cool temperatures during this time of year, with average highs around 52 degrees and lows around 31 degrees. The venue will be comfortably heated, so you can dress in layers to easily adjust to the temperature. We encourage you to bring a stylish jacket or shawl for any outdoor transitions.
Can I take pictures or videos during the ceremony?
As we exchange our vows, we kindly ask for your presence in the moment and your full attention during our ceremony. To ensure an intimate and distraction-free atmosphere, we request that you refrain from taking photos or recording videos.
Are plus ones or kids allowed?
We're so excited to celebrate our wedding day with our closest family and friends! Due to our wedding being an intimate gathering, we ask that only those named on the invitations attend. Thank you for understanding!
