Felix & Dar went to a very special dinner at "Chef & Farmer" in Kinston, NC on August 17th. Vivian Howard is the Chef/Owner. Dar watches her show on NC PBS & has 2 of her cookbooks, one of which Vivian has autographed. After the fabulous 7 course dinner, Felix surprised Dar & the whole restaurant as he went down on one knee & proposed! Of course, I said YES!

We have known each other for 22 years. Felix retired 2 years ago & sold his house on Lake Norman & bought a sailboat which is docked on the water at Albemarle Plantation, Hertford, NC which is near the NC/Virginia border! He goes between the boat & his Mother's home in Roanoke Rapids where he grew up. His Mother's home is a 5 hr drive from Dar's home in Charlotte & another 2 1/2 hrs to the boat. So plans then sped up for the wedding set for July 5, 2025!
