Dave and Nicole both grew up in Rhode Island and attended brother and sister Catholic schools. They met in 2007 while working on a production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The two remained casual friends throughout high school as they worked on many more productions together.

The above photo captures a brief moment in time at a cast party/open mic night in 2008. As Nicole started playing, she realized that her mic stand was busted as it kept falling to the floor. Dave heroically stepped in and held the mic stand in place for the duration of the performance. What a sweetie.

After high school, the friends went their separate ways. Nicole moved to Florida to pursue a career with Disney, while Dave remained in Rhode Island and busied himself with his music and a career in IT.

Dave and Nicole quickly rekindled their old friendship. Though they now lived on opposite ends of the East Coast, their bond grew stronger than ever as they caught each other up on the last 8 years. It soon became apparent that the two had more than just a friendship brewing.

Later that summer while visiting Rhode Island on a pre-planned trip (to see Taylor Swift perform at Gillette, of course), Nicole brought Dave to her favorite spot in Newport. Afterward, he brought her to his favorite nachos at Brick Alley Pub.

Dave and Nicole spent the next year and a half as a long distance couple. They visited each other as often as they could and spent many, many hours on FaceTime in between. Despite the distance, they made unforgettable memories together with the time they had.

In March 2020, Dave made the big decision to move to Orlando—admittedly a few months ahead of schedule due to some, uh, worldly events. After many months of building their relationship from a distance, Dave and Nicole finally began a life together.

Obviously, this occasion was followed by nachos at Brick Alley Pub.
