In January 2016, Dave was attending an "Invite a Friend" rehearsal for the Indianapolis Men's Chorus. During a break, the music director asked him if he wanted to audition for the group. He agreed, and David stuck around to listen in. David was mesmerized by Dave's beautiful rendition of Go the Distance. Little hearts were seen flying from David's eyes as Dave sang.

From there, a few months of playing cat and mouse passed during which the two tried to find reasons to be together. Finally, the pretense ended when Dave invited David out for drinks on March 5, 2016, for their first date, and the rest is history.

Dave and David have loved traveling together to storied places like Kentucky's Bourbon Trail, Chicago (a favorite), San Francisco, the Rocky Mountains, the Great Smokies, Washington D.C., Sonoma Valley, Montréal, Walt Disney World, and Milan, Italy where David proposed to Dave.

In the past eight years, the two have enjoyed wonderful times full of travel and adventure. They have also strengthened their partnership through navigating the difficulties of loss and grieving.

A fairly recent life-changing event for the Davids came when they adopted a dapper little French bulldog to spoil. Mondo, who insists on playing a starring role at the upcoming nuptials, is eager to celebrate with you and his Dads at the Bottleworks Hotel this October 11th.
