I saw Zane a day or two prior to our first conversation. I thought he was pretty cute, but obviously there was no way he was single, right? WRONG!! Well, a couple of days later he came back into the restaurant I was working at and attempted to flirt with me by asking if I needed more straws… who does that? Anyway, I said “no” (queue the attitude and eye roll), and then I turned around and continued to work. Later that night, he came back with some friends and I heard him calling out my name. I was thinking to myself who the heck is this guy and how does he know my name! (Facebook stalking is how). He again tried to flirt with me and I entertained it this time. He stayed until the restaurant closed and then we decided to hangout. We grabbed a drink at the bar, even though I’m not a big drinker (not very smart I know I know). To our surprise we learned that we lived right down the alley from each other for two years and we never once saw each other. The first night we hung out we both told his friend that we were not interested in each other. Well… that didn’t last long because he asked me to lunch the very next day. Who’s dumb enough to say no to free food, right?? So I guess you could say it was the free food that brought us together lol. The day after that he invited me to the lake. He was already speaking my love language and I had only known him for 48hrs! Well, I guess you could say the rest is history. I don’t think there has been a single day we’ve been apart since we met. I knew by the second day that Zane was my person. I didn’t believe in love at first sight until I saw Zane. When we met I was taking time to myself and wasn’t looking for nor was I interested in anything with anybody. The same goes for Zane. But here we are sending out invites and RSVP’s to our wedding. We are forever thankful for each other and all that we put up with (the attitude and stubbornness from both sides).
