I am not sure if I will be able to go on the cruise, when is the deadline to reserve a room?
As of right now, there is no deadline. However, as we get closer to the date of embarkation, the prices will continue to rise and the availability of rooms will decrease.
Are my children/spouse/significant other invited?
Yes, this is your vacation , but please let us know who your planning on bringing along.
Since this is a week long event, are all attendees expected to spend time together every day?
No. We fully expect that everyone will use this time as their own vacation, and ask that the only day you dedicate to us is on the day of the ceremony.
When should we get to Miami?
We will be arriving in Miami the day before embarkation and spending the night at a hotel near the port. Once we book our hotel room, we will add that information to the travel section.
This is my first cruise, what should I expect for expenses?
We will leave this up to Lisa as she will be able to provide you with the best information for exactly what you book.
What attire should I bring for the cruise?
Normal vacation/warm weather clothes, 1-2 swim suits, and it can get a little cold at night. While it is not required, many people do dress nicely for dinner if they go anywhere other than the buffet.
I saw on the MSC website that the wedding ceremony is symbolic, is there a plan for you to get legally married?
Yes, we plan on getting legally married in the United States.
Do I need a passport to go on this cruise?
While a passport may not be required, we highly recommend having one.
Are David and Julia going on any excursions?
We will likely be booking an excursion or two. Once we decide what excursion(s) we are doing we will add it to the travel section. More often than not, we choose to just explore the cruise port area for a couple of hours and head back to the ship early, this usually means the pools are emptier and that the waterpark is not overrun by children.
Do children travel free, or at a reduced rate?
Children do not travel free on MSC, however, their rates are much lower than adults.
