David & Monique’s story started at a conference called FOF. FOF stands for Future Officer Fellowship. This conference is for those who are interested in potentially entering into Full-time ministry in The Salvation Army.

David was undecided if he wanted to step into full-time ministry with The Salvation Army.

Although they didn’t speak much, they both stood out to each other. David stood out to Monique because her good friend Vonne (one of the bridesmaids) pointed him out to her.

Monique didn't realize at that time that she was looking at her now fiancé and soon to be husband. Monique and David instantly became friends and were friends for two years.

They continued to build their friendship seeing each other at various events, the conversations getting longer every time, all leading to Monique going out of her way to see if it could potentially be something more.

The story could continue, but we all know how it ends. Monique and David knew early on that what they had was special, and God-ordained. After continuously seeking God individually and together, Monique and David entered into a relationship, knowing they could see forever together. Their love is sweet, pure, and most importantly blessed by the Lord.
