Just 20 minutes north is Mt Dora where you can find delicious restaurants and kayaking.

Clermont is about 25 minutes south where you can find Lake Louisa State Park, a winery, breweries and restaurants. 

For our beach lovers, we recommend New Smyrna is the place to go. Check out “The Garlic” while you’re there. They have great food, but you will need to make a reservation to avoid a long wait. 

Shoppers : we recommend the Tanger Outlets in Daytona. Yes it’s a little further but a lot less crowded. Also check out Premium Outlets in Orlando (about 40 minutes)
