Our Wedding

Once upon a time- on a chilly day in November of 2022- a shivering David met a beautiful girl named Amy outside of NoRa cafe in Raleigh. Amy and David quickly realized they wanted to make it official and have been two peas in a pod ever since. They love hiking, trying new foods together, playing with Dewey (their dog) and finding new reality TV shows to melt their brains with. - Written by Amy Hess (If you couldn't tell)

Meet Katy, the bride's oldest friend and matron of honor. Their friendship bloomed over a shared love of books and she has been a special part of the bride's life since elementary school. Through midnight premiers of Harry Potter and being a part of Katy's first date with her husband, their bond remains strong even though they live states apart.

Meet Julie, the bride's oldest sister and now bridesmaid. They share a passion for world travel, Trader Joe's products, and competitions to see who is more "swole".

Meet Karen, the bride’s second oldest sister and now bridesmaid. Karen spends her time with her beloved dog Archie, and never fails to bring laughter with (sometimes unintentional) witty quips.

Meet Mary, the bride’s younger sister and now bridesmaid. Their shared love of books, sitcoms, and roasting family members makes each interaction entertaining and fun.

Meet Angie, the bride’s youngest sister and now bridesmaid. They bonded during early morning rides to the pool (when the bride was her swim coach) and listening to Crazy Frog's musical hit "Axel F". Angie is (self described as) "cool as heck" and is proud to be a Texas A&M Aggie (boo).

Meet El, the bride’s college teammate and now bridesmaid. They bonded during long rides to swim meets and shared psychology courses. Though they live many miles apart, they are only a Marco Polo video away in spirit!

El Gilbert

Meet Ryan, the groom’s oldest friend and trusted confidant. Their journey began in elementary school, and through the years, they’ve shared countless memories—from being college roommates to celebrating the same birthday.

Ryan Hutchinson

Meet Colin, a groomsman who has been friends with David since elementary school. They first bonded over tomfoolery on the school bus, and their friendship has only grown stronger over the years.

Meet Matt, who first met David in high school but truly became close friends after partnering up in their first college class. Matt and David would study for exams while Alex joined and played video games.

Matthew Gibson

Meet Alex, who quickly became friends with David in college. They enjoy a friendly competition and often challenge each other to improve, especially through their shared love of pickleball and other activities.

Alex Harrell

Meet Austin, a groomsman who has known David since elementary school. Their friendship flourished through their shared passion for disc golf and, more recently, their mutual enthusiasm for cycling.

Austin Maune

Meet Himanshu, a groomsman who formed a close bond with David after college. They’ve challenged each other to complete an Ironman, overcoming various hurdles (like learning to swim) and embracing the challenge with humor and enthusiasm.

DFW is your best option for any airline other than Southwest. We recommend renting a car when traveling to Dallas. We are happy to connect guests who are traveling from out of town and would like to share a car.DFW is located about 12 miles north of Dallas, and is about 35 minutes from the venue. Traffic may heavily impact this drive, so please plan accordingly.

Love Field is the best option for any Southwest flights. Located in the heart of Dallas, it's about a 25 minute drive to the bride's childhood home or the venue.
