WEDDING DAY DETAILS We are so excited to celebrate with you at Lauren’s parents' home on the water in New Hampshire! Guests should plan to arrive between 4:30 and 5:00 PM. Please see the "getting to the wedding" section below for more information on transportation. Expect a bit of walking down the driveway, nothing too crazy, but comfy shoes are always a good idea. Since our wedding is in early September, we hope for warm weather, but New England can be unpredictable, so keep an eye on the forecast and dress accordingly. The reception will take place around the pool, and we’re keeping things relaxed, there won’t be a formal walk down the aisle or a sit-down dinner. Instead, there will be plenty of seating options and delicious heavy passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening, with late-night bites on the grill to keep the celebration going. Later in the night, the party will move under the tent for dancing and celebrating! We will have an open bar all night, but please consider bringing cash for tipping the bartenders. ATTIRE Dress: Garden Semi-Formal to Formal We want our guests to feel their best and dress to impress! For the ladies, we kindly ask that you opt for longer dresses rather than short ones, but honestly either is fine. Since the event will be outdoors on grass, sometimes with uneven ground, we recommend choosing thicker heels or stylish flats for comfort. We’d also love to keep the atmosphere bright and vibrant, so we kindly request that no one wears black or white outside of the wedding party. With that said, none of the other traditional wedding rules apply, please feel free to wear red or sparkles or anything else you like. If you think "is this too much for a wedding?" then its probably perfect! Lauren has added her <a href="https://pin.it/1louQYWSJ" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pinterest board here</a>, but please feel to have your own interpretation. For the gentlemen, suit jackets are preferred to complement the garden aesthetic. However, a mismatched jacket and pants are perfectly fine, feel free to mix and match stylishly! We want everyone to look and feel their best and above all we want everyone to have fun! We can’t wait to celebrate with you in style!

GETTING TO THE WEDDING Shuttles We will have a Party Bus Shuttle going between the wedding and Downtown Portsmouth as all of the hotels downtown are close together. Prescott Park was created and is maintained according to the terms of the last will and testament of Josie F. Prescott, a life long resident of the City of Portsmouth. It was her wish that a public park, free and accessible to all, be established along the Portsmouth waterfront replacing what had become an unattractive former industrial area of Portsmouth.

Albacore Park is a National Historic Landmark site located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The park features a maritime museum, gift shop, and memorial garden, while offering self-guided tours through a preserved submarine known as the USS&nbsp;Albacore&nbsp;(AGSS-569).

Jenness State Beach is a small state park located on the Atlantic Ocean in the town of Rye, New Hampshire. The house directly next to the beach is where Lauren and her family lived for several years when she was young. The park offers swimming at a sandy beach with a bathhouse and picnicking. The parking lot can accommodate 67 cars

The works cafe serves artisanal sandwiches, traditional NY-style bagels, organic quinoa bowls, chef-inspired salads with local greens and other delicious fare. Great for a casual breakfast or lunch, but the coffee is terrible.

Popovers has been hosting local diners and seacoast visitors for nearly twenty years. Our signature popovers can be enjoyed a variety of ways- as a meal overflowing with delicious ingredients, on the side of a seasonally inspired soup or salad, perhaps as a tasty snack spread with maple butter? Gluten-free friends rejoice! Our bakers worked tirelessly to perfect our gluten-free Popover and they knocked it out of the park.

A favorite of Lauren's Parents, The Library is an exquisite venue where art and great food intertwine. Built in 1887, rich in history and glamour, the Library has hosted 7 presidents under its painted fresco ceilings and is one of the most eminent private dining and upscale steakhouses on the East coast. Based in the grand and historic Rockingham House on the National Register of Historic buildings, steps from the center of Portsmouth.

Gallivant through time and experience wonder at our Victorian-era Mercantile, with modern and classic merchandise for all! A pure delight to visit, located in Downtown Portsmouth’s historic bridge district!
